A few years ago I lost a significant amount of weight and increased my health by walking/running. I was involved with a support thread on another board. We shared our stats each week, our ups, and our downs. It was so helpful for me to be accountable for my actiions and numbers. Well, I was doing good, but had a surprise pregnancy now he is 2, and I am back where I was and then some.
With the unique considerations that come from fitting excercise and a healthy diet in during NS/and pre- reqs, I thought it might be nice to be able to share and support each other because we know better than anyone else the stress of time management and pressure of keeping our grades up.
I know that NS can be strenuous physically and I want to get in shape or at least a head start for this fall
I have applied for Fall and I am finishing up my A&P II class. It is kicking my butt. I have a final on Wednesday over the endocrine system, urinary system, body-fluid ratios and reproductive system. I will be happy with a B out of the class... if I survive.
I will know at the end of May whether I got into nursing school.
As for the person giving up on WWs I can understand your frustration. I've cheated on my points by not counting everything and I do mean everything that goes in my mouth. I'm now writing down everything and finding that sauces, jelly on bread, ketchup, creamer in my coffee, all hurt my points levels. So, I'm cracking down. More exercise, less sauces on my food and less "cheating" by not counting the food at all.
I've also noticed if I don't use at least my minimum points, I gain weight for some reason.
No weight loss this week so far for me. Stayed the same. Of course its Derby time around here and I can't pass up the derby pie! :)
My husband loves Derby Pie. He was stationed at Fort Knox for training years ago as a reserves (not in the army anymore) and I remember going to visit him in Louisville. Beautiful area. Please my daughter and I both ride so we are big Derby Fans.

nightbloom, are you applying to Ivy Tech? Seems like I saw somewhere you were. If so, I am in the same boat as you won't find out until the end of May early June. At least we only have 1 month left to wait.
Piglet, I am sorry things are not working out with you and WW. I understand how frustrated you must be. nightbloom gives great advice but, if you think you would be better with SB then you need to do what you need to do for you. No matter what we are here for you. :)
Yes, I am trying to get into Ivy Tech. I will have to take additional pre-reqs if I apply elsewhere I believe so I am hoping I get in.
Louisville is beautiful. However, if I could move right now away from everything, I would. My husband and I both share children with other parents so it makes it impossible for us to move. I would opt for somewhere warmer.
And, I agree if WW isn't working for you, try something else. If I stick with my points and it doesn't work for me, I will be trying something else also.
