Would I have already gotten it. Is that some a general doc would give at a physical or OBGYN?
I was born in '86 and my sophomore year of high school (so 2002) it became mandatory for school-aged children. I remember getting them in the auditorium. I just had my 10 year booster for it this past fall. If you were out of school before 2002, chances are you may not have gotten them. You should call your doc to find out.
My friend got in to NVCC. She's an LPN so she'll be in the 2nd year classes. So happy for her.
About the hep vaccine, not only do you need the series of 3 shots but most schools require a lab test to prove you converted and have immunity. If not, they often give you another shot. Some people never convert.
Congrats to all who were accepted! To those waitlisted, don't give up the faith yet. You never know, you could be first on the wait list!
