I am so excited about being accepted and starting school on the 25th, that I decided to go and get a new hairstyle and color tomorrow. I've worn my hair shoulder length for 20+ years and I just may get it cut short lol.
Anyone else going to make changes or anything similar?
Cheryl
I started working out and just went on a shopping spree and bought some sexy jeans with the matching jackets. I usually buy boy jeans because I am tall, but I found some long enough at Old Navy and I almost started crying because they fit perfectly.
I had my hair braided, so I can be on time and not worry about doing my hair.
I also bought tons of sexy bras and undies. Dunno why...just felt like celebrating.

Well, perhaps she's an optimist! Confidence can be a good thing!
If you'd just see her though, she's been buying stuff like crazy, i mean a new top each week, when she should put more effort into getting grades higher than a 78 or 79. Granted it's none of my business but when she says outloud "as long as i got a 78 i'm ok!" i just think that her priorities are out of whack. That's sad
I think that getting a new look is great. I have learned that when you look good you feel good and feeling good gives you confidence. I don't spend alot of time getting ready or alot of money on clothes, but you can even look nice in jeans and a sweatshirt with a little light make-up and a cute haircut.
As far as buying things for the future, I already have so much stuff, but I have been working in the medical field for seven years. I came to the conclusion that at the end of each semester, I will treat myself to one special thing such as a Littman, Dansko shoes and things like that. I think that buying scrubs are totally thinking too far ahead, unless you buy them for bed, or lounging around the house. Most places have dress codes, and I have had to buy new scrubs for all three jobs I have had in the past seven years.
Ok, ok...... have been procrastinating on getting my hair trimmed again for several weeks now, but reading this thread has just given me the kick in the tail I needed to get it done. Going to call right now and see if she can fit me in. Just hate wasting ANY part of my day off doing something mundane.... but then, if I come out of there looking CUTE again, then I guess it's not so mundane afterall, is it?
Thanx guys ! I'm reaching for the phone....

We have a girl in my class who has been buying scrubs like crazy for "when i graduate". And she's made C's for grades, a 78% which is the lowest passing grade. Amazes me.
