Getting certified means you can practice anywhere??

I know I might be getting ahead of myself a little but I just wanna know if say I finish a program here in Illinois and I decide to move to Texas will I be able to be an LPN there too or do I have to take some kinda certification before I can get a job there? Thanks everyone:yes:

You need to endorse your license. The NCLEX result is accepted by every state however the clinical & theory hours may vary from state to state so there may be additional requirements such as proof working as a nurse, specific classes. (Texas requires a jurisprudence exam, NY requires a child abuse & infection control class), or worse case additional hours/credits

Call the state Board of Nursing in the state to which you are moving and get the straight skinny from them directly. Short answer is your active license in your home state will probably allow you to get one there by reciprocity/endorsement...but maybe not. They will tell you exactly what you need to do.
