It stumped the family for along time becuase this lady was never like that when young, lived/worked in a interracial setting, etc. It turned out that at one time she had a caregiver who had been abusive to her. Well to a Alz damaged mind, anybody who looked like that caregiver was the enemy. So, maybe with the more confused/demented residents this may be part of what is going on. Beyond that, I never have had any of my pts say overtly racist things.
