Have you ever called Corporate at LTC?

I have heard that if your DON or Administrator ignore your concerns, that you can call the "Help line" at "Corporate" to get help. However, I have noticed at my job, that any nurse who actually does call "Corporate" always gets fired. Do you know of anyone who has called "Corporate" and didn't get fired?

Nope, I've heard people threaten it but they never followed through...

No. But my attorney contacted corporate legal but I was not an employee when that happened. When I was an employee, I found it not very funny, that corporate made a statement about something but local employer was not in agreement. Just because corporate exists, does not mean that they can, or will, accomplish anything. But one thing, most likely, will be accomplished by contacting corporate, and that is that the complainer will, eventually, lose their job. Almost a given.

Yeah, calling Corporate paints a very large target on your back. Somehow TPTB always find out who called, and next thing you know you're being escorted out of the building. I've never done it, but I know people who have and they wound up in the unemployment line.

I called corporate when I was an ADON for a large company. The administrator was very disrespectful to the DON.....very...horribly dismissive. She would never say anything so I did. I did NOT get fired.

I called the 'employee assistance program' number when I worked for a different company and got the corporate human resource person. The EAP was supposed to be anonymous so I sent her an email and told her the least she could do was use a fake voice. I did NOT get fired. They did eventually use a different company to answer the phone.

I called corporate once. Didn't have any repercussions at work as nobody knew I called. On the other hand, calling did no good, I pretty much got the brush-off. I won't bother calling again as I know from experience it doesn't do a darn bit of good. As long as the facility is making money for the corporation that is all that matters to them.

OK-So calling corporate doesn't do any good either. Calling the "care line" will just get a person fired. Silly me. I was hoping that someone might actually " care" at the corporate "care line", How could I be so foolish? Will I ever learn?
