Advancing my career in Sub Acute/LTC

I have been a supervisor at a SubAcute/LTC facility for 1.5 years. I'm getting frustrated in my current position, and am confused on how to advance my career. My performance reviews have been excellent, but there are no open positions at the facility I work for. Not that I want a new position, but maybe working towards something like certification, etc. Are there certifications in LTC?

can i ask u guys will it be possible to move from a Long Term Care to a Acute setting??

if not how about a Long Term Care to a Sub Acute to a Acute Setting? (with 1 year in each area)

A few years ago our local hospital had what they called the Bridges Program. They would take nurses currently working in LTC and give them some training to be in the acute care setting. The only ones ever hired were the ones who worked on a sub acute unit. It''s possible, but these days, not too many people are getting hired anywhere.

It was Cape Cod Hospital (yes, there really is a hospital here), but they aren't hiring ANYONE these days unless you have ER or ICU experience.
