Georgia State University Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone! I am in the process of applying to GSU Fall 2018 and noticed that there hadn't been a thread started yet. I am applying for both the ACE and traditional tracks. My GPA is 3.73 and my TEAS is a 97.3. Fingers crossed! Who else is applying and what are your stats??

@NurseCharly Oh I noticed lol

Thank you!

I just got my acceptance letter from College of Coastal Georgia BSN program which of course is not my first choice. I'm still all smiles I got a back up to fall on. Just read threads for gsu fall 2016 & fall 2017. **** we might have to wait till 3rd week of May. These guys deserve the numerous negative reviews they have indeed. They most likely know how competitive this program is, the more than 1 schools applicants apply to, and the limited period given to respond if accepted by a school but yet choose to drag the decision making process for so long a time.

Congratulations on getting in to Coastal GA! I agree with you that this program's admission committee knows exactly what's at stake. The last few semesters seem like they found out in 10-12 weeks instead of the 4-6 they say. Especially when they extend the deadline. Hopefully they're aware they've been super delayed the last few cycles and are working on improving.

Totally true!

I want to go to GSU, but I'll be hearing back from Mercer (3rd bc expensive) & Augusta (2nd choice) first.

Augusta has you put a down payment of $200 to save your spot & I might have to do that if GSU doesn't hurry up which really sucks :|

I just called the school about the status check not working and they said we will not be able to check the status at all for the next 6-8 weeks :(

@Ayaya Thanks. I just might have to add another of those poor reviews if we are left with no feedback by April 23. 😔

Augusta is wrong for that.

Is April 23 the deadline to pay the deposit for their program? And if GSU hasn't mailed out decisions by that time.... Oh my gosh. That would be awful.

Nah their deadline is March 23, and all immunizations and CPR & BLS licence should be submitted by April 6.

April 23rd should be 6weeks from the deadline though by which time almost all if not all nursing programs must have sent out decisions to not only their admitted students but to the waitlisters as to whether as spot showed up.

Specializes in ICU.

Still no word, but I have a question. Are you all going through the process needed for the university itself? I've done the online orientation (as a transfer), I set up my email and PAWS account. All the things an accepted student does-- but I haven't been accepted to the nursing program yet. I haven't completed the intent to enroll either. Uugghhhhh

Sounds like you've done all you can do. There's nothing left to do now but to wait for an answer and take whatever necessary steps after
