Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone! I am in the process of applying to GSU Fall 2018 and noticed that there hadn't been a thread started yet. I am applying for both the ACE and traditional tracks. My GPA is 3.73 and my TEAS is a 97.3. Fingers crossed! Who else is applying and what are your stats??

Hey girl! I believe that I'm going to apply to both programs as well! I have a 3.6 and 81% TEAS score. I have over 100 volunteer hours and I'm getting my CNA certification by February. Hopefully it will be good enough bc GSU is extremely competitive. I had a friend who didn't get accepted and she had a 3.8. But, best of luck to us all!

Second time trying to get into GSU here. I was denied last semester. 93.3 TEAS, 3.33 GPA, letters of rec from current RNs, and have been working as a caregiver for a home hospice company for a couple months. I also already have a BS from UGA. I have been accepted to Mercer and am on the waitlist for Emory, but GSU is my first choice. Good luck to everyone

Hi guys! I am applying only to the ACE program. I have 2 bachelors, one in chemistry and one in cell and molecular biology. I made a 91.3 on the TEAS and I believe my GPA is a 3.6. It's calculated strange here since none of my upper level classes count. I have been a licensed phlebotomist for 7 years. I'm really excited/nervous about getting into this program. We just moved here so I am not applying anywhere else. Good luck to us all!!

GSU website is saying that they've extended the deadline from March 1 to March 9. Hmm... not enough applicants maybe?

I submitted my application yesterday so I went to talk to Mr. Funches today. He said they extended it to make up for the snow days. They won't start reviewing any applications until after the 9th :(

Man, everyone's got strong stats and experience! Wishing everyone the best.

*my first post, btw

Hi guys! I applied to only the ACE program as well. My overall gpa is 4.05 and my teas is 82.7. I'm hoping to get in. Does anyone know how we can check our application status? I tried to follow the link they sent in the email but its not letting me log in with my email. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm having this problem as well but best of luck to you!Your stats are pretty amazing so that's awesome!

I applied to traditional only. I was so bummed to see they extended the deadline, just cause I'm so anxious. I'm worried though, since you all seem to have much better stats than me! I have a 3.33 overall bc of some old old courses, 90 on TEAS, and about 150 volunteer hours. I applied for GA state, Augusta Athens Campus, and GGC.

Don't get discouraged! If this is your passion/dream and calling, things will work out for you. There are so many different programs and so many different routes you can tale to become a nurse. Hang in there and just have faith and confidence in yourself :) I hope that you make it!

Specializes in Emergency/Trauma.

Hey, all! Good luck to everyone! I applied for Fall, 2018 ACE at GSU. I have a 95.3% TEAS, a BS in Pscyh, an AS in Emergency Medical Services, and I'm a licensed EMT and Paramedic since 2008. My GPA at UCF was a 3.91 but was calculated very strangely at GSU (I think because they grade with A+, A, A- and UCF just used A, B, C, etc.) so it only translated to 3.76. I was feeling pretty good about my stats, but now I see I am up against some hefty competition! I'm really inspired to be a part of this strong group and I hope we'll all be in classes together soon.
