Georgia State University Fall 2018

Hello everyone! I am in the process of applying to GSU Fall 2018 and noticed that there hadn't been a thread started yet. I am applying for both the ACE and traditional tracks. My GPA is 3.73 and my TEAS is a 97.3. Fingers crossed! Who else is applying and what are your stats??

Ok. So I suppose we'd only get feedback by May 1st then. Did you reapply for the Fall 2018 semester?

Yeah, per the GSU website, decisions are sent in March and April/4-6 weeks after the application deadline. That was certainly not the case last semester, as it took a bit longer. There's also the bit about how the top 15% will have rolling admissions but that also didn't really seem to be a thing last semester. I submitted an application update on January 17th, which counts as a reapplication. This time, I only applied for ACE since I already have a bachelors and don't need to take any more non-nursing classes. Really hoping for a yes this time.

Hopefully we all get in. I applied to both the ACE & Trad tracks and don't mind getting into either. I heard the ACE is no joke especially for folks like myself with no prior degree but if I happen to be admitted into it, I would hopefully be equal to the task. I applied to Valdosta State and their deadline was January 15 but still yet no feedback. Hope GSU doesn't take this long. It's so annoying you know

From the last few applicant threads for gsu I've noticed that they aren't exactly timely in their decisions. Which is why I was so bummed to see that they'd extended their deadline, since apparently they take forever anyway. Good to know the status check is garbage, don't have to stress that I'm missing something.

I called today to ask the same thing. I was told the deadline just passed and we will hear back within 4-6 weeks by mail. So the wait continues. Good luck to every one!

Where do I go to check my app status??

There was a link at the end of the app, but I exited out before saving it...& I can't seem to find anything other than a status check for your app to GSU.

Anyone who has applied as a transfer student, how long until the goSOLAR thing had your transfer equivalency?? I have been officially accepted to GSU for over a month and still don't have that.

I transferred into GSU in 2013 and again in 2017. It only shows my grades I've earned at GSU and not any of my other institutions. If you've not taken any classes at GSU, then I wouldn't fret too much but call the admissions office if you want a more official answer
