Georgia State University Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone! I am in the process of applying to GSU Fall 2018 and noticed that there hadn't been a thread started yet. I am applying for both the ACE and traditional tracks. My GPA is 3.73 and my TEAS is a 97.3. Fingers crossed! Who else is applying and what are your stats??

My email said that they needed the decision back by May 18.

Hey Anaya are you giving up your spot?

Hey guys just wanted to comment for future readers that I just now got a decision from a GSU.

Took 10 wks. Was told 4-6wks. Every other accredited college put out decisions by the 1st week of April.

I got denied via physical mail-no email. Seems like the trend is that acceptances get emails AND mail while denials get just mail?

Not sweating it at all though bc I got into KSU (chose my main school), Mercer, & Augusta :-)

-STATS: 3.7 (2 B's in 2 main prereq) // 84

-Had 1 work reco from a hospital worker & 1 from a doting professor, both of whom I know ofc

-Also had volunteer hours

i believe I got denied because I sent in my application last minute & was overlooked for it, not bc I didn't meet standards so future readers don't be discouraged.

I still strongly suggest to have at least 1 backup because if I had just relied on GSU for ex I would've had to wait for an unnecessary amount of time only to be denied.

good luck to everyone else!

Yes, I'm giving up my spot at GSU. I was accepted at GGC and I plan to attend there. I haven't sent in the letter yet, but will be doing so this week, so at least one more traditional spot will open up.

Hey guys! From my packet I got it says that we have to have our signed acceptance letters in by the 18th, so hopefully that will open up some more spots in the program. I turned all my paperwork in on the 1st and it says we would get PINS review access 3-4 days from then, but I don't have it yet. The school said they would be providing that access through the end of the week next week. Good luck to everyone!

Also, I got in to ACE so if anyone was curious about my stats I have a 3.78 overall, 4.0 science, 4.3 institutional GPA, 91.3 TEAS, I have been a licensed phlebolomist for 7 years, BS in Chemistry and BS in Cell and Molecular Biology. No volunteer hours.

Does anyone know how many spots there are for the ACE track?

I'm not sure. They'll tell you. I just forgot :/ I wish I knew how many spots were on the waitlist as well.

Hi all, I've received an email yesterday stating that i was waitlisted. just wanted to share my stats. Hoping for the best. Overall GPA: 3.6 Science: 3.1 TEAS: 80%

does anyone have an idea from previous admission semesters how many people got off the waiting list and got spots into the school?

I know of 2 people on the waiting list who were considered this Spring. But I heard there were about 10 for the Spring 2017

10 people that got off the list or 10 people on the list in total?
