Georgia State University, Fall 2011 Application

Published

I mailed my Fall 2011 GSU nursing application on Jan. 22. The application deadline is March 1st. As we wait, I invite all applicants, traditional or ACE, to post their program gpa and TEAS version V scores and keep others abreast when they receive an applicaton response. Here are mine:

Program GPA: 3.63

TEAS V: 86.0 (Date 1/15/2011)

Percentile Rank - National: 97

Percentile Rank - Program: 94

As we wait,....

I'm actually taking Nursing 2010, A&P II, microbiology lab (I took the lecture portion in summer 2010), and american govt! As long as I finish the prereqs with a "C" or above and maintain at least a 3.25 GPA I'll be in good standing with the program. I wouldn't worry that much about how many prereqs you're completing right now, I think all that matters is that you're on track to finish all of your prereqs before the start of the program (ACE)... Idk how many you should have done to be eligible for the traditional track.

Ohhh and I forgot to add that I still have to take one of my area B prereqs this summer as well. Hope this helps!!! :-)

It does help--thank you. :) It's so hard to not worry and just be patient!!!

I hope that I'll be celebrating with you guys soon. :)

Have a great weekend and congrats again!!

I hope you will too!! Try to enjoy your weekend and not worry so much either!! :-)

Has your status been changed from ready to review to accepted? Below is the link to the webpage I keep checking.

https://webdb.gsu.edu/applicantstatus/index.cfm?logout=true&refresh=true

I just checked and mine still says complete and ready for review. They also have a little note on there saying that acceptance or denial won't be posted on there, it'll be sent from the university directly to you (by mail).

Thanks for checking. I just remember when I applied to GSU I found out I was accepted online before I received the letter in the mail. Congrats by the way!!

Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate it!!!

I know I said I wouldn't come back but

OMG congratulations :yeah: to the people who got accepted!!

There was a slight issue with my app so they will look at it again on Monday (when the committee meets) :-/. I'm soooo anxious now :crying2: .

Now that I know decisions are being sent out so early I will be stalking my mail box :uhoh3: . ahhhh

Again congrats to those of you that were accepted and good luck to the rest of us :D

...one more thing, do the acceptance letters come in a small thick packet-like regular envelope or the big envelopes? lol

Thanks so much, I appreciate it!! They come in a regular sized envelopes, but the envelopes that contain acceptance letters are very thick! lol. :D

shicurls: I feel ya--my anxiety is through the roof while my patience is rock-bottom. Waiting is even more difficult than I thought it would be. Of course I'm glad that decisions are already going out, but I kind of wish that I didn't know about it.

I am extremely nervous too! I applied for the ACE track, and looking at the statistics, it seems extremely competitive. I graduated from Georgia Tech, and my GPA is only a 3.54 with a 89 TEAS. The average is like a 3.7 for the ACE track...I am just very anxious to hear back!

Just to let everyone know they usually send out letters on Wednesday every week. So probably u will hear on a friday or so... Last semester they sent out the 4.0 gpas first and then they began sending out rejection letters and other acceptance letters. Waitlist letters don't get sent out until the very end. It took me two months to find out!!
