Hi future nurses and any current nurses!
I applied for spring 2019 about 2-3 weeks ago. It already feels like I've been waiting for ages, though!
I'm curious about what you all's admission stats are (GPA, TEAS, how many pre reqs you've taken, etc.) Here's my stats...
General Ed GPA: 4.0
Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 78
I've taken 8 out of 12 of the required prerequisites.
Also, how many programs have you guys applied to? I only applied to this one, sadly. So, I'm wishing on a constellation that i get in.
I'm excited to virtually bond with you guys and share our (hopefully) positive results!
Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that. You stats look good. Did they give a reason for denial? I'm on pins and needles....have not received any news as of yet.
The applications were extremely competitive so all the spots have already been assigned. It is not a denial per say, but the chances of someone forfeiting his/her spot are slim, considering that there were not many spots to start with.
I saw your stats last time; you should not worry. :)
Hi guys!
So - I got an acceptance letter today - the envelope it was in was addressed to me - but the letter is addressed to someone else?! Her last name is close in the alphabet to mine so it seems we just got mixed up when stuffing envelopes...this is TERRIBLE because I want to be excited but I'm scared to be. I'll be calling first thing in the morning. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Wow, that sounds scary, but I am pretty sure you got in too. I would assume they did not handle both acceptance letters and denial letters concurrently. That would be nice if the other person could identify herself here.

This is the first I've heard of that happening, but more than likely, it has happened before. Please give us an update after you call.

You are too kind. What is your alternate plan? Are you going to try for the bachelor's later or retry the Associate program next semester or maybe another school? Either way, Best Wishes!

Luckily I had the good idea to start taking some classes required for the BSN. I already asked Ms. Creel to keep my application for Fall 2019, but I will apply to a BSN program also. Really frustrating. Had I know I would have taken more time to complete my prereqs and have better stats, instead of doing it in a 7-month span.
Good luck everyone, and thanks to those of you who share your stats! I'll be applying in the fall to here and Chattahoochee Tech, and it helps to have a benchmark on how I'm doing. Seems like, looking at the most recent boards versus past ones, that they're more competitive than they used to be. I think Ms Creel said at the info meeting that if you met the minimums you had a very good chance at getting in, but it seems like even people with really good scores are getting cut. I'll be thinking about all of you!
Congratulations to Everyone! I received my acceptance letter today. It says to send a passport photo by the 21st. Where do I do to get a passport photo really quick? My daughter needed one a few months ago. It took at least a week or more before they sent it in the mail.
You can go to Rite Aid, CVS, or Walgreens. You should have it in a matter of minutes.
Congratulations, by the way. See, I told you.
