Hi future nurses and any current nurses!

I applied for spring 2019 about 2-3 weeks ago. It already feels like I've been waiting for ages, though!

I'm curious about what you all's admission stats are (GPA, TEAS, how many pre reqs you've taken, etc.) Here's my stats...

General Ed GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 78

I've taken 8 out of 12 of the required prerequisites.

Also, how many programs have you guys applied to? I only applied to this one, sadly. So, I'm wishing on a constellation that i get in. :roflmao:

I'm excited to virtually bond with you guys and share our (hopefully) positive results!

Hi XKAPX. You send your TEAS score to Georgia State Perimeter College TEAS. Btw, you can email Ms Renee Creel (head of nursing at Perimeter) with any questions, regardless of how insignificant. She is great about responding back if it is during office hours. I sent her a load of emails and she answered every little question I had. Good luck!

Hi Holly. Thank you for the info. That was helpful. I'm very nervous. I made A's in all of my classes so far inclucing A&P I & II. However, I have Microbiology coming up this semester and I hear its really hard. Have you finished all of your prerequisites?

Are you doing the Micro online or at the school? I did micro online in the spring, with labs at night. It wasn't too terrible. Just stay on top of things and you should be okay. I don't think the lab was terribly difficult either.

Your stats are awesome! I was expecting at least an 80 from the TEAS. I foolishly took it before I took A&P but I read on a forum from one of the previous classes that if you made a 65 or above that you shouldn't be too worried about retaking it because it's better to just take the TEAS once. I hope to see you in spring! I'm excited to see what we hear back!

Before you know it, science courses will be expired! I'm doing much better now at not thinking too much about the application. Good luck to you too!

Hi there. I just applied to the Spring 2019 program last week. I've taken all of the pre-requisites minus 6 credits. I'm taking Micro in the Fall along with 2 one-credit electives. I totally expected to fail the TEAS and re-take at the end of this month. I did not get much study time. However, I did better than I anticipated.

General GPA 4.0

Science GPA 4.0

TEAS: 83.3%

I did micro on campus this summer. You're right about staying on top of things and yes it wasn't that bad. I'm glad it's done!

Hey Everyone!

It sounds like everyone has a pretty good chance of getting in! I know they only accept 60 students for Spring...YIKES! I only applied to Perimeter for the Spring because they were the only school that had a later deadline than May 31st. I just took the TEAS last weekend, so I couldn't apply to the other programs. If I don't get in for Spring, then I will be applying to all the other Associates programs in the area for Fall. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that though :) So right now my stats are:

TEAS: 84

Cumulative GPA: 3.7

Science GPA: 3.75

Hopefully that will be enough! Good luck everyone! September is already too far away!!!

SAME. I've been trying to research other schools but I haven't gotten too far right now. I'm so set on going here. Looking at previous Perimeter forums, your stats look great to me!

Hello everyone! I am applying for spring as well and this is the only school I'm applying for so I'm a little nervous. I wanted to let you guys know that I followed along the past two years or so of these blogs for the Georgia State nursing program and the deadline they give us often can be a month from reality. There seems to be a typical two week delay in anyone getting excepted from the time they say they will announce it. It looks like they send out a batch of acceptance letters and there will be a group that decline it because they've decided to go to another school and then a second round of acceptance letters goes out and so on Until all spots are filled. Most say they get their acceptance via email and then a confirmation physical letter in the mail later. That seems to be how they have only 60 spots but 200 to 300 people apply and still maintain an 80% acceptance rate. From what I could gather from speaking with Renee Creel, it sounds like as long as you made a 70 on the TEAS, & have completed the required minimum, then you will be competitive for the program. I've not heard anyone talk about grade point average requirements but I think everyone is above a 3.0 from what I've seen. So when you start to see people in this blog start announcing that they been accepted, don't worry if you didn't get one yet. It could be coming! :) I hope this is helpful!

My stats are

3.5 GPA

3.75 in science

83.3% TEAS

Good luck to everyone!

This is helpful! That makes sense. You're gonna make a great nurse, you're putting all stuff together. I do notice that a bunch of people will say they got accepted and then a couple weeks later, more people will say they got accepted.

I got high hope for everyone here getting in. I applied to Albany State University, Columbus Technical College and GA Perimeter. I really hope either one of those would accept me.

My over all transfer GPA isn't really up to par - 2.85

Science I believe is -3.7

TEAS - 77.3%

AP I B Lab B

AP II A Lab A

Microbio A Lab A

I've seen so many more competitive scores on this post and many other pertaining to GA Perimeter nursing, I hope by some miracle I can make it in.

Good luck everyone!

I've heard that transferring isn't as easy as it seems. It seems like the transfer threw your GPA off because your stats look good.

Hey everyone!

I am so nervous I fall in the middle somewhere. My TEAS score was a 75.3 but my Reading was a 83 and Math was 87.5. My over all GPA is a 3.25 but my core GPA is a 3.75 and my Science GPA is a 3.92. I have finished all of my classes so I am super nervous because my over all GPA is kind of low and my TEAS scores are not as high as I would like.

Yeah I figured that. It just shows my overall gpa from my many classes I've taken at my past universities/institutions. Maybe it'll look better if I just calculated what my gpa would be if I just take the into account the classes that are required for the program.
