Georgia Nursing Students Applying for Fall 2014

Published

SO...

I have my options open as far as which school I want to go to for my BSN. I am currently at KSU, and it is great here! I want to stay, but it is SO competitive. I am also going to apply to:

1. Mercer

2. Georgia Southern

3. Armstrong

Is anyone here also applying for these schools? Have you previously applied to these schools, and got in? I have no idea where I stand, even for Kennesaw. I just emailed my advisor.. so hopefully she can shed some light for me.

Like everyone, I am nervous about getting accepted. I took my first TEAS today and my adjusted score was 81.3%:woot:. I was surprised considering I didn't study very much.

So basically, I just want to know where I stand for these schoools!

I can't believe UGA doesn't offer nursing. That's why I didn't apply there my senior year of high school! It would be hard to make all those friends and then transfer. I may have to do that anyways though... I am currently at Kennesaw State. Obviously, KSU is my first pick, but Georgia Regents would be great as well. I just really don't want to leave all my friends I have made and my sorority :/

Trust me, I know. I don't want to leave my sorority either! haha. But going to nursing school is more important to me, so I'm willing to move. It just sucks that GRU only has two sororities (ADPi and ZTA) so if you're in either of those you could join the chapters down there. :)

Applied to programs at Emory, West Georgia, and KSU, and I got my acceptance letter into Emory over the weekend. I'm pretty much thrilled with that. :) I was curious if any of you knew when KSU decisions are sent out? I'm assuming sometime this month...?

All we've heard is that they should be mailed out mid-March/April. If someone else wants to call, go for it. I'd feel like I was being a bother! :)

I got my letter today! I was accepted into Georgia Southern's School of Nursing! All of my hard work has paid off. I'm so excited! :)

Thanks!! So excited!!!

AW yay!!! So happy for you!! I got rejected :( BUT that is okay! The average GPA they took was a 3.71, and mine is a 3.61. I fought a good fight! My living situations have changed, so I am only waiting for one more letter - Armstrong Atlantic!! We are moving to Savannah FOR SURE in May, so even if I get in to KSU I won't be going there. Kind of sucky, but such is life!

Armstrong Atlantic accepted me! :) I can't believe how fast they sent the letters out! I am still even waiting for KSU, and KSU's deadline was 1 month before lol.

Congrats!! Since you're moving to Savannah that worked out perfectly. I was shocked to see how fast GSU sent out letters because they said we wouldn't get anything until April.
