I have my options open as far as which school I want to go to for my BSN. I am currently at KSU, and it is great here! I want to stay, but it is SO competitive. I am also going to apply to:
1. Mercer
2. Georgia Southern
3. Armstrong
Is anyone here also applying for these schools? Have you previously applied to these schools, and got in? I have no idea where I stand, even for Kennesaw. I just emailed my advisor.. so hopefully she can shed some light for me.
Like everyone, I am nervous about getting accepted. I took my first TEAS today and my adjusted score was 81.3%. I was surprised considering I didn't study very much.
So basically, I just want to know where I stand for these schoools!

This makes me so anxious. I applied for Armstrong's accelerated program and still haven't heard from them. But congrats!! I did my undergrad at Armstrong and loved it there in Savannah
I was shocked at how fast BOTH Ga Southern and Armstrong sent out their letters! Luckily I didn't have to be disappointed about Ga Southern for too long because I got my email from Armstrong 4 or 5 days later.
@ag6297 Have you heard anything since your last post? I got my acceptance through the email address I put on my application. You are supposed to put your Armstrong email, but I had to put my personal email due to some admissions issues. Otherwise, I think it should go to your Armstrong email? I haven't received the REAL letter yet!! Just the email. *Fingers crossed for you!!*
Or so I think, the email said: "We are happy to inform you that you are eligible for the program, however before being officially accepted for admission we need to set up a pre-admission interview with you." So I am still a little skeptical
No, don't be skeptical! You'll do great! Have you called the nursing department to schedule your interview yet? I was wondering if they would do it before April 4th.

Hey guys, I applied to Georgia State for fall 2014. I just received an email stating they couldn't process my application because I didn't submit my High School application. *****! I didn't know they needed that. I didn't see it anywhere on the steps. I need feedback on this. Im so angry.
Wow, that stinks. I had a similar situation with Emory, and I was really annoyed it was not listed anywhere with the other requirements. Thankfully I caught it before the deadline.
You would think someone at Georgia State would have let you know you had something outstanding prior to the deadline. Like, not really anything you can do about it afterward! I mean, if they know you are attending a traditional school like Southern for your pre-reqs, you obviously graduated high school. That requirement just seems like a formality and I would talk to someone higher up about it if I were you.
Well, I will be declining my seat at Emory, if that helps. A lot of things at admitted students day turned me off of the program completely. I did get in to state, but the location and length of the program are killers for me. I have not made a decision yet, but I will most likely be choosing between Georgia Baptist and Gordon State.
I hope so too! GBCN is an amazing program! It has always been my first choice. I know they place a lot of importance on the essay, so even if your stats are not super amazing, you can make up for that with an amazing essay. Fingers crossed for you!
