Georgia Nursing Students Applying for Fall 2014

Published

SO...

I have my options open as far as which school I want to go to for my BSN. I am currently at KSU, and it is great here! I want to stay, but it is SO competitive. I am also going to apply to:

1. Mercer

2. Georgia Southern

3. Armstrong

Is anyone here also applying for these schools? Have you previously applied to these schools, and got in? I have no idea where I stand, even for Kennesaw. I just emailed my advisor.. so hopefully she can shed some light for me.

Like everyone, I am nervous about getting accepted. I took my first TEAS today and my adjusted score was 81.3%:woot:. I was surprised considering I didn't study very much.

So basically, I just want to know where I stand for these schoools!

Also, do you know the estimated cost per semester at mercer?

I know tuition alone is 10,865 per semester.

Wow, including food, living, and other small things... thats around 65,000! I would choose Gordon State, but then again if you're looking for hands on... Mercer offers 3 clinical hours per 1 hour of lecture!!

Yeah, I will only be able to go if I get some really good aid. I do know Gordon offers a ton of clinical hours too. I have heard the level 1 trauma center in Macon prefers Gordon grads over Macon State BSN grads because they receive so much hands-on education in comparison. So I think both programs will prepare me. I would just rather be done with my BSN in 2 years vs 3 at Gordon though! Not to mention how amazing everyone at Georgia Baptist has been. I haven't really met anyone from the nursing program at Gordon, so it's hard to compare in that department.

Has anyone applied to Clayton State?
