Were you trying for the ABSN at KSU or the traditional? Have you taken any classes at GHC?
I was considering their ABSN, but decided to go the GHC route. I also applied to Chatt Tech, but it looks like it's going to be really late before they notify. Their TEAS date is 6/30. Most people would have probably already accepted another spot by then.
Good luck! Nice job on the TEAS.
I talked to Mercer too, but the first thing they wanted to talk about were student loans and "do you know your credit score". They know it's expensive. I wasn't really a fan of that. I think the ABSN was over 60K.

I was trying for the traditional program but I’m pretty sure that it was my repeated C in A&P1 that halted my acceptance. And no ma’am. I haven’t taken any courses at GHC. Only at KSU and some transient courses at CTC last year. And thanks! My science score was lower than I had hoped and I scheduled to take it in March, but it got canceled due to COVID so I only had that first score to apply with for GHC.

Yeeea... I was totally in love with the vibe there and how much they help their students, and because I want to get my Master’s from them, I figured it would be a great idea. But after financial aid and federal loans, I would still need 10k for my first year and would probably need another 10k for next year. So I’d end up with 45k of student debt for my undergrad and another 40k for my graduate degree. I just don’t want to live like that, ya know?
Hi everyone does anyone know the campus the program is held on? Also does anyone know how many days of week classes are at least for the first semester. Lastly does anyone know the clinical sites or at least the hospital. I was thinking maybe Wellstar. I have been accepted into another program and I just wanted to compare my drive both would be a distance but I'm still curious. I also applied to CTC but I'm not interested in taking the critical thinking test at this point. Any information would be helpful thanks.

I don’t know a majority of the answers to your questions, but I do know that the nursing classes are held up on the Rome campus.

It's in Rome, but not on the main campus.

Not really sure how many days a week yet, but would bank on 3 or 4 (at least). Schedules for nursing don't follow traditional schedules where you're at the same place each day of the week at the same time. It can jump around. That makes it tough for a day job during the week. I think clinical sites can be in Cartersville, Rome, Wellstar, etc... I don't think you get to choose.

What campus are the nursing classes taught on? What about clinical sites?
The nursing classes are taught at the James D. Maddox Heritage Hall campus located at 415 East 3rd Avenue Rome, GA 30161. With clinical locations in Floyd, Polk, Bartow, Paulding, and Cobb counties.
Thanks everyone for responding yea it's gonna be a drive for me either way, and plus I've already paid out of pocket for one Nursing course I'm taking during the Summer so I'm just gonna stick with the program. If I do so happen to get accepted I will keep you guys informed and I will decline the seat. Best of luck to everyone. You all got this!!!

Didn't you say DSC previously? Good Luck! Yeah, if I was already started I would stick it out just to get done quicker. Depending on where you're driving from, DSC is all interstate too.
I don't know what DSC is, but both schools are about an hour and thirty minutes give or take. In the first semester of the program that I'm currently enrolled in we only have to go on campus one day per week then around November we start clinical. Given this cover thing has settled down. So that's why I was inquiring to see if GHC was similar to that in the first semester, and yea I'm just gonna stick it out. Thanks so much.
