  1. I believe they do. SL is not associated with any college. Portage is, and your transcript will say "Geneva College". Check with them though to be sure.
  2. From what you're describing, it sounds like this structure might be the opposite of what you need. Much better to take one or two courses at a time and be done in a year, than to pay for 6 months and find out you aren't able to complete everything during that term with the time you say you don't have. Certainly, there are small state schools that offer a relatively inexpensive RN-BSN that can be completely in about a year. Many in my state are a similar price to WGU, if you require more than 1 term. Oh, and you get real grades.
  3. Here are some "old" samples of the sheet. I think these are before the TEAS was updated and I'm sure there have been other changes. It may give you an idea though. Sample worksheets
  4. It looks nice, but... Is grabbing neck hairs really a problem? Seems to be an issue she made up to differentiate the stethoscope. I've had matte finish stethoscopes slide off my neck, so a little stickiness might be a good thing. MDF and ADC already make stethoscopes that are longer than the comparable Littman and cost less than the Bjorn Hall. Heck, it costs more than the classic III if you're just looking at the basic black and white colors (which is all the BH comes in).
  5. Yeah, it was 4/1. They had to make some exceptions for the TEAS and CNA license because of covid closures, but that shouldn't be an issue this year. They typically mail a packet also, but we received email acceptance letters just due to impact that covid had on the timing.
  6. Last year we got them mid-June, but it was a different year with Covid and all. Not sure if it will be the same this year. Good Luck!
  7. What kind of support were you expecting that you aren't getting? It's a completely online class at your own pace that you have a year to do. If you need a lot of 1:1 time with a professor, then a live class is the way to go. They answered emails from me, usually in a timely manner and let me know if they were going to be out. They made test corrections for me when I challenged an answer. That's about all I reached out to my professor for.
  8. I would think that if you've made it this far into the ASN admissions process, you'd have a pretty good chance of getting into the LPN program. Who Knows? Maybe more RN candidates than normal are opting for LPN as a backup this year due to reduced admissions. I'm sure the people that were only interested in LPN to begin with aren't happy about that.
  9. good luck with that...that stuff is basically benadryl and would make me groggy during a test where I had to critically think...I'd pass...LOL
  10. What did the update you received say? I got one that said the deadline was 2:00 pm, because I had not registered, however, there were 86 recipients, all of which I assumed were the ones that had not yet registered. There were probably 100+ more that did. But as I stated previously, I just decided to stick with the first school that accepted me. I felt good about my chances, but I was not willing to wait that long to find out if I was in.
  11. Has anyone gotten any feedback with how the classes are going to be structured with COVID, or how they were structured in the Spring when it hit? Some schools are moving to a primarily zoom/online structure, and I'm not a big fan of that.
  12. I hope you get in, but I think CTC is even more competitive, especially this year. They've said only 40, with closer to 400 applications. The closer you get to Atlanta, the more competitive it will get, just due to the number of applicants.
  13. I got the email invite for the CTE, but it's doubtful I'll take it since I've been accepted elsewhere. That should clear up a spot (I had an 85 on the TEAS and A's in all the science prereqs as well as the extra classes like psych and sociology and higher than a 3.7GPA). CTC just took too long. There is no way they should have extended the TEAS that long and kept the CTE. They should have waived the CTE this year. Now students won't know until August. After going through everything that needs to be done at a different school prior to starting, I can tell you that 2 weeks is not enough time unless you do not have a job or any other obligations. Hopefully, everyone has all the vaccines and Hep B titer done in advance, as well as BLS. Once you're accepted you'll likely still need the drug/background, physical, TB tests, etc... I also got the email prior stating they didn't have my TEAS. I called ATI and they said that CTC didn't have the correct date range in there to view any TEAS score before a certain date. I sent mine in February. Once I communicated that, they quickly found it.
  14. Has anyone gotten the CTE invite yet? They are cutting it close. Maybe CTC does not have all the requirements of some other schools as far as vaccines, physicals, TB test, certifications, etc... Trying to get all that done in such a short window is going to be tough. Hopefully, everyone has most of that done.
  15. Then make a list of schools you want to attend and check their equivalency transfer system. If it's not there, have a conversation with someone in the registrar's office. It's on you, because as I've mentioned earlier, even schools say they accept it may have questions once they get the transcript. Are you really asking strangers on the internet to provide you an all inclusive list of every school that might take Portage and that does not take Portage? Also, none are going to say "Portage" in the equivalency system. You'll need to look for Geneva College.
