Hey Everyone! I'm just trying to start a thread for those of us wanting to get in to the ASN program at Georgia Highlands this fall!!! I submitted my application in the mail yesterday, and took the TEAS last week.
Anyone know if we will at least get a confirmation of their receipt of our app or anything?
I got a 92 on the TEAS. I tried to calculate my worksheet score but I have no idea what my SAT scores were individually. I know I got an 1890, but that was 6 years ago!
Is this a joke... Just email it! So much easier and they wouldn't be getting a ton of complaints! I haven't even checked my mailbox but I know it's not worth it.
I agree! They need to think about the fact that some of us have full time jobs, families, etc., and we only have a limited time to get everything we need to get done actually done before nursing school starts.
My mail is late today, but how frustrating is that!? I can't believe no one is getting their letters today. Ridiculous. I thought it was weird when I called yesterday and they told me since they were mailed Monday, that we should know "within a few days." It doesn't take a few days to get mail from Rome to Dallas or Cartersville... It takes one!
There was absolutely nothing in my mailbox today. Starting to get frustrated. We put our emails down on the application. Just send it to us through that.
I am insanely annoyed at this point. I think they put them in the mail on Monday, but dated them for delivery later in the week so we wouldn't get them until the campus is closed this weekend. Why they would do that...I have no idea, but if we get our letters and they have any other date on them besides June 29th I won't be happy.
That was my thought when I read your post yesterday about it being a few days. I feel like we are getting the run around here. We all know it doesn't take that long for a letter to be delivered!
My thing is that if we don't get them until July (which is now the case...) because of the holiday, the whole first week is blown. So if we find out this week, no one can even start preparing for the program until next week, the second week in July, that gives us what, like 3 or so weeks to prepare? Maybe 4?
I have two kids, I have to plan things ahead just so I can leave the house by myself to get a TB test, etc.
ugh! Thanks for the vent session. Haha. Someone should say something, but I don't know what or to who!
Agreed. Plus I have to decide between the two schools and chatt has to know by Tuesday if I'm attending. Highlands is my first choice and I don't want to just say yes to Chatt and then FINALLY find out I could have gone to GHC.
If you tell chatt yes, can you not go back on that? Like if you were to find out from Highlands after. I mean, I understand that's probably rude, but this is your future we're talking about. So do what you have to do!
I honestly don't know the protocol on that... But it sure would be easier to just know. I'm going to be so frustrated if the letters don't come tomorrow. I mean shoot, it only takes a letter !2! Days to get from here to Texas.... What's the deal? Lol
