Georgia Highlands ASN Fall 2015

Published

Hey Everyone! I'm just trying to start a thread for those of us wanting to get in to the ASN program at Georgia Highlands this fall!!! I submitted my application in the mail yesterday, and took the TEAS last week.

Anyone know if we will at least get a confirmation of their receipt of our app or anything?

I got a 92 on the TEAS. I tried to calculate my worksheet score but I have no idea what my SAT scores were individually. I know I got an 1890, but that was 6 years ago!

Is it bad that I am already a nervous wreck!

The science department at GPC requires Chem I for Biology I A&P (then you take BIO II and Microbiology). GPC has a good program with very high NCLEX pass rates. I'm looking forward to starting next month. BTW, they don't require the second PSYC class that GHC requires.

I have taken all the classes that GHC requires. Would this mean I would have to take Chem to get into their program?

I don't think so. It's only a department requirement not a nursing program requirement. Although I would recommend taking it....even though it's hard, especially if you're planning to get your BSN. Chem I and II are required for BSN's.

Have you guys considered Darton State?

Hey, did anyone get their email about textbooks, nursing school, classes and such? I have not and can't reach them by phone.

I have not yet received the email about the class information. If you find out something please let me know and I will keep you updated as well.

Im changing my major fro my architecture to nursing this semester (i know this is a big change)... Would you say that it is hard to get accepted into the nursing program at GA Highlands? What is their acceptance rate?
