Georgia Highlands ASN Fall 2015

Published

Hey Everyone! I'm just trying to start a thread for those of us wanting to get in to the ASN program at Georgia Highlands this fall!!! I submitted my application in the mail yesterday, and took the TEAS last week.

Anyone know if we will at least get a confirmation of their receipt of our app or anything?

I got a 92 on the TEAS. I tried to calculate my worksheet score but I have no idea what my SAT scores were individually. I know I got an 1890, but that was 6 years ago!

Is it bad that I am already a nervous wreck!

Oh crap I don't think I scored that high! Geez they keep upping it every year...

It must be because they are accepting less and less people every year. No sense in worrying when we don't know the outcome yet, though. Well, I'm trying to tell myself that anyways. :(

I wonder why they lowered the number of seats? I can only hope that they do another class in the spring but I doubt it.

I think they did away with the spring acceptance altogether.

I read that they only accept LPN bridge and medic bridge applicants in the spring. They used to be all together I think.

Well... I got NOTHING in the mail again...

I'm just done with this lol

Are you serious??? Ridiculous!!!!!

I even called and confirmed it was sent to the correct address...

😔

That is crazy!!! I got mine. I didn't get accepted. I'm just under the range.

"This year we had an extremely high number of well qualified applicants for our nursing program. Due to the limited number of spaces, there were many qualified students we were not able to accept."

I know they did. I was just saying since they said there were so many applicants and they cut the spots, I was hoping they would bring the spring acceptance back. It's a long shot but you can always have hope lol

I guess I will have to wait until this time next year to wait for a response again!

Yeah, I still haven't gotten my mail, BUT if I don't get in then I will try GHC again next year and also other schools too.

I am pretty sure this might be the last year of ASN at Highlands or next year will be the last. They are transitioning to BSN only. Especially considering that most hospitals in the area are magnet (80% or higher of the nursing staff is required to have their BSN).

I don't know if they can/would do that, because they are technically a two year school, hence the "bridge" program.
