Georgetown Online FNP program

Hi guys,

I'm working on my application for Georgetown's online FNP program and found out that they now have an interview instead of the video essay submission.

Has anyone had an actual interview with one of their Admission Counselors yet? If any, would you please share your experiences? Any tips on acing the interview? :)

Thanks in advance!

They no longer give you myaccess until after you've been admitted! I was like seriously?? The one place I could stalk without having to bug my admissions counselor!

I just wish I knew where in line I was... am I going to be looked at this week, next week... etc...

according to their applications deadlines page you should get a notification within 15 days... which for me is Friday but it could be thrown off because of easter :banghead:

I made a fb group for our cohort! Figure we'll need all the networking and support we can get through patho pharm and health assessment!

Did anyone apply for the July 2017 cohort?

If so, have you gotten an acceptance or rejection yet. I applied for the July cohort before the priority deadline (April 10th) and still have not heard back. Starting to become discouraged.

They didn't now receive my last transcript until May 8th, so hopefully that delayed review because it's been way longer than 15 days at this point.

They wouldn't send you to faculty until they had all parts of your application. I'd email your admission counselor to see when it went to faculty and then you can base your 15 days off that date.

As Callthenavynurse said, I think they wait until they get all parts of the app before sending the 'whole packet' to the faculty review. I got an email from my counselor saying my app had been sent to the faculty review. You should definitely contact your counselor to check on the status! Hope this helps and good luck!!!! ;)

I applied for the July Cohort and my app just went to review on Tuesday after all parts of my application was complete. Very nervous about this whole waiting process so you're not alone.

Hello,

I am so sorry for the late response. I just saw your message. I got the response in about two weeks. Had to call the admission rep. Yes the interview process was very intimidating, and I don't like the fact that what you prepared for was not what they asked for. It's misleading. I hope that you got accepted. I am still shopping around for school. I was not accepted because of low GPA. Thanks

I'm sorry you did not get in :( what schools are you looking at now if you don't mind me asking? I felt the same about the interview process. I know I did horrible and didn't say what I wanted because I was too nervous.

Have you heard anything yet PB? Should be any day now right!

No still waiting. I'm going to call today hopefully to hear something because this is becoming very discouraging.

Hey! Just curious how many days it took you to find out after application was sent to faculty? Also, how are you liking the program so far? I just applied for the May 2018 cohort. Thanks!
