Has anyone applied for the George Washington University (GWU) Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring 2020 cohort?

Also for those accepted, when did you all apply?

Hi, when you log into your portal, does it still say your application is under review? Were all your teacher recommendations submitted by Aug 1? If so, you can try emailing them. They also mentioned 4-6 weeks after the priority deadline.

I applied around July 27th.

I applied around July 27th.

I submitted my application July 15th but one of my recommenders forgot to submit until mid-August so I missed the priority deadline. I called and admissions explained I would be grouped into the next round of applications.

As JainieS mentioned, they take 4-6 weeks after the deadline to advise on a decision, possibly earlier. They wait for all the acceptance/ declination from the wave of priority submissions to assess how many seats are available. If you had all required items submitted, I would call to check the status of your application.

Yes I submitted everything and all the check marks on the portal are green and application does say under review. It’s only been four weeks but I am just eager to know! Did you all get an email saying that it had moved on to a final review and then a decision email or just the decision email? I called the admissions team multiple times but couldn’t get ahold of anyone so I also emailed

I didn't receive an email saying it moved on to final review, just checked the portal and saw a "Decision is ready to be viewed" with a golden envelope. I received an email after I checked the portal saying a decision was ready, probably because I was checking every second lol.

Hopefully you will hear something before September!

I turned everything in August 1. I heard back that I was accepted August 14. I checked my portal and that is how I knew I was accepted. The email came a day later. Good luck!

Hey there!

My application was completed on July 28th or the 29th. Everything was submitted I was waiting on the last letter of recommendation. I heard back August 14th. Like Scrubdub, I received an email a couple days after I had already checked my portal and read my acceptance letter. So it might be more efficient to check the portal.

I haven't accepted my acceptance yet but I did receive and email to schedule an interview with the W2 program.

Wishing those who have not heard the best! I hope you all get good news soon!!

Also does anyone know how large the cohort is? I have looked everywhere and can't find it.

I read somewhere that in 2018 the largest cohort they had graduated with 145 students.

Hi! I applied to the accelerated program not veterans on July 30 and also have yet to hear back! I’m so anxious but hoping we hear something within the next two weeks
