Has anyone applied for the George Washington University (GWU) Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring 2020 cohort?

Also does anyone know how large the cohort is? I have looked everywhere and can't find it.

I haven’t received an email from w2 but I did accept the offer. I just gotta put my 500 deposit down. I’m not sure who to contact regarding that.

They'll send you an email regarding open dates for the interview and you'll have to email the contact provided in the email. I took some time after I was accepted to get the email and then some time to get a response back to confirm the date I chose. We'll also have to send in an essay at least a week before our scheduled interview. Details will be in the email. If you don't receive anything soon, you can email [email protected]. You'll also get a separate enrollment deposit email telling you how to pay.

Hey everyone!

I applied for the program on 07/29, but my second recommendation letter wasn't sent until 08/09. I did get an email from the school on 08/08 stating that if the letter was received by the end of the next day that I would still be considered with the early acceptance group, which they did get the letter in time and confirmed this in another email on 08/10. I still haven't heard anything about a decision though, so I'm starting to get a little concerned that I didn't actually make it in time. Is anyone else in a similar situation, or does anyone have an opinion on if I should call the GW just to get an update on the status of my application? It still just says it's "under review" on the application website.

Also, does anyone have any insight as to how many people are accepted for the W2 program, or any additional information about the program?

I applied to the ABSN program before the priority deadline and I'm not sure when to expect to hear back. Has anyone heard back yet on whether they were offered admission?

Hey Laura -

I am in a similar situation as you regarding one of my LOR being submitted late. I called to explain my situation and follow up on the status of my application and they told me my app wouldn't be reviewed until the next deadline (9/1). They said if I got it in a day or two after priority deadline it would be reviewed but since it was a few days late, no exceptions.

It sucks but it seems like all we can do at this point is wait for them to update our "under review" status to a final decision. Since you have an email from them, I would try giving them a call and explaining the situation. Maybe your outcome/ response will be different than mine. I would be curious to know what they say.

For those who accepted admission, I just created a Facebook group for those interested. It's named "GWU ABSN Spring 2020". If you can't find it, I can invite you to the group.

Hi! I was also accepted too! Is there already a Facebook group for this cohort?

I haven’t accepted yet, but I’m 95% sure I will. I’m also married with two kids and four step kids! My little one is six months so that’s the only thing holding me back from starting in January instead of waiting until the fall.

I just created a Facebook group called "GWU ABSN Spring 2020". I have 3 little ones myself 5 and under.
