Has anyone applied for the George Washington University (GWU) Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring 2020 cohort?

Thanks! For those that were accepted, did you get an email that your decision was ready or did you just randomly check the portal and saw your decision?

And before you got your acceptance, did the portal say "Congratulations! Your application is under review."

I received an email to check portal. Once there opened and saw decision. I didn't even think it would be this early. Hope this helps!

For those accepted and planning to go...

Do you all have children? Spouse? looked at child care etc in the area?

Thanks, that's helpful! Instead of me checking every second lol. I'm married with 3 small kids. Do you live in the area? I don't live too far from the nursing campus.

Also, there's a GW Nursing Babysitters group I was added to by a former student that I can add you to. Good for parents even if you don't go to the nursing school and looking for nursing students to help with babysitting.

I am very far. I am in Florida ?. Yes please add me to group. I do have a little one and was looking for childcare information. I know nothing about the area only surrounding areas. I lived in Alexandria a very looong time ago. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Oh wow that's cool! Sure, you can send me a message if you prefer on how I can find you on Facebook. There is a daycare across the street from the campus called Primrose. There's also a Kindercare around there somewhere. I did hear that students might get discounts at select childcare facilities. I found this link, but you may need to follow-up with the school since this link mentions "faculty and staff". You'll want to look at the ones that are located in Ashburn. This area does have many childcare facilities and home daycares throughout. https://hr.gwu.edu/you-your-family As far as housing, there are apartments and townhomes right around the campus. https://virginia.gwu.edu/housing. There's also Acadia by Cortland.

I got an email with a subject that said "Your Decision Is Ready To View"

Anyone accepting admissions? If so, did you all receive the email for Washington Squared interview dates? I emailed the contact, but haven't received a confirmation. Anyone get a response back?

Hi all!

I applied also. I submitted everything fully at the end of July and haven't heard anything back yet or about it being final reviewed! I'm super anxious and just wanna know! anyone in the same boat?
