I'm currently finishing up my prerequisites and just started my NursingCAS Application for George Washington ABSN for Spring 2015. I found out today (4/17/2015) GW temporarily made their Spring 2016 application unavailable due to errors. They will be releasing it again starting 4/24/15. Until then, I'll be completing the generic information on NursingCAS (personal info, transcript entry, etc)
I just wanted to start a thread to see who else is applying to GW ABSN Spring 2016 and get through this journey together!
I recieved an email yesterday for conditional acceptance to the Spring 2016 ABSN (conditional bc I am currently taking Nutrition online this fall). I have a few schools to hear from still and then I'll make my decision. I'm just so relieved to have gotten into somewhere and a great school at that. Good Luck everyone. I hope you hear soon!
Hello everyone, I got my acceptance letter yesterday for the Spring 2016 cohort. I am very excited and I think I will be accepting the offer. I am planning on living close to the campus in Ashburn, does anyone has any info on which apartment is more affordable/better and whatnot? Oh, I am also looking to share a 2/3 bedroom apartment to reduce the cost, please let me know if you are interested. Congrats to all that have been accepted so far, I am looking forward to meet you all.
Oh man... I'm glad to see they're already getting around to accepting people. I just wish Nursing CAS would hurry up and finish verifying my stuff! I also have to take a nutrition class online this Fall, so IF I'm accepted it'll be conditional as well. It'd be really nice to know though... it's the only school I applied to
@TDJones-I understand how you feel, it took them from July 20th to August 11th to get my transcripts verified, it was like 3 weeks, I almost gave up. From what I heard at the information session couple of days ago, it seems like nursingCAS is dealing with large amount of applications at this time so that might be why it took so long. Hope yours do get verify soon!
I just got mine sent back to me because apparently my Undergrad school recently changed to a quarter system rather than semester and "forgot" to let me know so I had to adjust my credits. Hopefully they will get it verified soon, I am also getting antsy! Ill keep you posted!
Mine got kicked back today as well. I didn't include all of my classes from a language school I attended... I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe that the ones that didn't apply to my pre-nursing stuff wasn't relevant...? Either way, I'm not sure I understand the point of having to input all of our transcript information, if they're evaluating our ACTUAL official transcripts. Why are we duplicating work here? All of my stuff is in storage and inaccessable, so my transcript is being sent out to me first thing tomorrow, and I expect to receive it hopefully by Saturday to update and resubmit my app. NursingCAS just sucks.
Bumping this up to see if anyone else has applied for this school/semester. The previous GW ABSN threads had so many more applicants, but the one for Spring '16 seems pretty dead... Anyone else out there?
@TDJones I was accepted to the program mid-August and have submitted my tuition deposit for Spring 2016. I agree that this forum is not as active as previous years. Maybe it will be more active when more people get accepted!
