I just submitted a Fall 2017 application for the ABSN program at George Washington University. I thought I'd start a thread so we can share some experiences, pieces of advice, and whatnot.

So I started following the GWU SON Facebook page, but am wondering if we should create a group for us to follow for our specific stuff? I would start one, but just got back onto Facebook from 2 year hiatus and have no idea how to start one! Has anyone started one yet?

That would be awesome, I'm not sure how you could monitor who joins and make sure they've been accepted though. But please do!

One option: anyone who wants to join our group, join the GW Nursing BSN Students group first. They are a closed group for students only (I THINK they're school-affiliated but not sure) so if you're approved to join that group, you're probably legit :) We can just check the members list.

Hello everyone! I have also been accepted into the Fall 2017 term. I am from California so I am not too familiar with the area, but I am definitely looking for roommates!

Hey everybody! So if you join the GW Nursing BSN Students Facebook group, there is an excel sheet on there where you can put if you are looking for roommates. That can be helpful until a page is made for our cohort!

Has anybody heard about when the mandatory orientation day is? It would be nice to know sooner rather than later so that we can make travel arrangements and get coverage for work etc....

I think it's during the week before classes start.
