It sounds like some people here are pretty unhappy with their uniforms, so I'm wondering what people have to wear for clinical. We're pretty lucky at my school. We wear indigo scrubs (any style we want), a white lab coat (again, any style), and white shoes. Our school patch must be sewn on the left sleeve of each top/coat, but it's not that bad. :)

We wear a white top, white pants, and white shoes. There is also an apron we have to wear over our top and pants (for the women only) that has a royal blue stripe along the side. We also have a white lab coat that will have our patch on it as well. I can tell ya, they are not scrubs and we have to make sure they are ironed for every clinical. We are also reminded to wear white undergarments as well.. :rotfl:

White pants and pine green Barco scrub tops.

Not too bad. I like my pants - they're flares. :)

we can basically wear any tops and pants that we want as long as they are white and are actually scrubs (no jeans or street clothes!). I am gonna get some flare-leg ones, I have already been trying them on! We also can get a navy blue warm-up/lab coat if we want but it is not required.

A

navy blue pants any style exept jeans navy blue polo top with school name over left breast in red. black shoes.

:) I am so glad no one over here wears white any more.

But do you have to wear the funny Smurf hat? :rotfl:

Just think...you'll appreciate it that much more when you get your first nursing job and can wear cute scrubs! :)

Ours is white pants, white shoes, and a burgandy polo shirt...I can't tell you how many times a student from my school has been mistaken for someone from food services. :uhoh21:

I once heard a doc call us "The Cranberry Brigade."

White scrub top, white scrub pants, white shoes and a navy blue lab jacket.

Not too bad really....

I graduated in May but during school clinicals, we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted as long as it fit in with the policy at the facility we were doing our clinicals in. Yep - even prints! MANY of the "experienced" (ie. older) nurses would comment that when they were in school they had to wear the white nursing dress, apron and hat. One of them even brought in her old one from nursing school. HOW did they work in those!?! They are stiff and straight and the bib of the apron pinned on to the top of the dress. And HOW did they bend over in those stiff things!?! Scrubs are definitely more ergonomic than the old style nursing uniforms. And I would hate to have to wear all-white. First year we wore plain scrubs. Second year we were told we could wear whatever was accepted at the facility! We all went on a shopping spree for prints!

White uniform pants, white semi-scrub (uncomfortable) top, white shoes and white labcoat. White is not exactly the most flattering color for most and is not the color I would choose in a hospital environment since it is virtually impossible to keep clean. My school is extremely anal when it comes to wearing NURSING shoes, but when you are a 200lb male that wears a size 14 shoe, there aren't any good options in the nursing footwear arena so I had to jump through hoops with the program director before the start of clinicals to wear my solid white New Balances...good times.
