How about we have a thread for us! Hahahaha, sorry needed some encouragement today and figured I wasn't alone. I am so excited for the ones starting nursing classes this week, but so jealous. I know it will be my turn soon enough. So how about a check-in to see who's still waiting. When do you hope to start nursing classes? How many prereqs do you have? Or are you just waiting?

Me I should start in August, pretty much waiting. I've had my prereqs done for a while now. I am taking my last general ed class this semester and getting it out of the way. They don't have any nursing classes in the summer so just waiting and getting ready.

Positive thoughts for you LauraLou! I am sure you will do fine.

Amy, I took A&P (I&II) ten years ago, but it transferred in so I am not much help. I am right now trying to brush up on it because I forgot most of it.

And Colleen oh yes I have a big fear of failure, but I am determined to do this and not let my fears stand in my way.

I'm doing my pre-reqs too. I'm taking A&P II and Nutrition next semester. I'm waiting to hear back from one BSN program that starts in June, and I will be applying to another BSN program that starts in September.

Good luck to us all!

I too am taking pre-req's but I am just starting them.

I am taking a dev. math (my worse subject), Psychology, Sociology, and Intro to computers (this one should be pretty easy since I spend so much time on the computer)

I am taking Psychology and Sociology by telecourse and the other 2 in the evenings on campus because I have 2 small children.

I'll prob get into the Nursing program Fall of 2004. I mainly want to get my pre-req's completely out of the way 1st!!

How long have you guys been waiting?

It took me 1 year to get my math pre reqs to get on to the nursing list and 1 1/2 years to actually get into the RN program. So you guys that are still wating, dont feel bad. Youll get in eventually! At this rate Ittl have take n me 6 years to get a freakin BSN. Darn waitlists!!!:(

Hey---

I just took my pre-entrance test today. I have to wait a couple of weeks for the results and my interview to see if I get into the LPN program. I am sooo ready to get started! I

Feels great to no longer say "starting in the fall of '03":D

I'm finishing all my pre-req's this semester for a BSN. I will be taking Micro, Chem, Medical Ethics and Developmental Psych.

I'll start in the Fall.

I too feel jealous of all that are starting in January but I will patiently await August. Good Luck everyone!

Trust me....don't feel jealous. I had 7 hours of lecture today! And have 7 more hours tomorrow...lol.

Definitely get your pre-req's & co-req's out of the way. If you know that your school follows the question format on their tests similar to the nclex exam, I strongly suggest getting a book that helps you learn those test taking skills so that you get accustomed to the type of questions you'll be asked. It's a lot different than what you're used to with all of the other classes you've taken.

You'll be starting the nursing program before you know it. :)

I already had a BS so I had no pre-regs. I just don't like waiting. I've been waiting since Nov. when I applied to a nursing program. I won't find out if I've been accepted until March and will start in July.

Hi Everybody!

They go by accumulated points at our college so you pretty much have to have pre reqs done before you can get into "Intro to nursing".

This semester im taking AnP2 and Humanities,

Speech in the summer,

Micro and Algebra 1 and 2 after that.

So in the next year or so Il have some serious decisions to make regarding my present job and my future.

I will be starting my pre reqs in the summer and take more in fall so I can start my nursing program next january. Feels like forever! I cant wait

I started my prereqs last summer and hope to finish up this summer with Micro and a PE class, and that's been full-time all the way. I have to have my application in by March for the fall semester. I figure if I don't get in for the fall class, I'll get in for the spring and in the meantime I'll take gen ed classes to use later for my BSN. There isn't a direct BSN course around here to take, just ADN and bridge over....... I'm hoping to find out from others what "extra" books are recommended so I can pick them up here and there with the extra tuition I get right now. Good luck to everyone.

oh boy the wait, the wait ,the wait. It seems as if I am waiting forever. I hope to get in the program for fall2003. All my prerequisites are done for the BSN program. I am just emotionally stressed from waiting. I will have to wait until mid-march to know if I get in. Sighs..........awwwwwww.

Ann.
