Mine was 6 hours and we used the entire thing! We got oriented to the program and policies, we introduced ourselves and got introduced to all of the professors, we discussed which classes we would be taking when and we watched a video on Standard Precautions and Hand Washing. Of course we did get a 1 hour lunch break! I really liked my orientation! GOOD LUCK!
Well, I know that there's an hour of orientation to the Health Education Center. That's probably parking, ID badges, etc. We are supposed to register for classes too. (That's a neat trick for me since I'm not even officially in yet.) Still, that leaves an awful lot of movie time. Oh well, pass the popcorn!
Our orientation was four hours, and we stayed the whole time as well. They introduced us to the professors, gave us a bunch of homework, and then put us into groups with a current clinical student and a professor. We also took care of some last-minute paperwork.
Good luck to all of you who are starting this spring :)
6 hours is nothing!!! I have three days! 8-5 w/lunch for three days! This includes as far as I know, enrollment, safety, study skills, get to know each other activities, tours of the hospital, etc. I'm looking forward to it, mainly because it will be a whole lot better than it is now while I sit around all day, go to school two days a week to classes that I dont even need for nursing school, because my dad made me take more credits than i needed to do. (I only need two out of the five classes I'm in right now).:rotfl:

Orientation is tomorrow. What can possibly take 6 hours? I'm looking forward to orientation, but SIX HOURS!
I don't even know if I'm officially in for January or not yet. I'm on the alternate list, but have been invited to orientation. I guess I'll get a better idea tomorrow.
