    Hey man, welcome to the land of nursing. I just graduated last week and am starting my career soon.
    I want to say that you have a drive already for life and what you want to do and this is essential in nursing. Your experience with your leg can only enrich your experience in nursing school and after. Patients like to know that their nurse hasn't sailed through life and idenfity with those who have had to deal with hardships and made them work like you did.
    I will be proud to call you a colleague, feel free to ask any questions.

    Wow . You r already my inspiration and you just got started. i wouldn't mind that friends' mom seems like you haven't either. I applaud you . That's what nursing is all about determination as stated above. Keep your head up and remember you can do all things through christ which is where you draw strength from anyway.
