I would take pharm and patho, personally. They were both required for my program. It depends on your previous experience which one would be most helpful for you. I found Pathophysiology a lot more interesting, but Pharm has probably helped me more in clinicals. For me, the terminology has come with experience.
I am in Pharm and Patho right now, they will probably be the most useful, but they will also be a little difficult to squeeze in over the summer at the same time. I am kind of struggling to do both(along with A&P2, A&P 2 lab, & developmental psych) at the same time. Leave yourself plenty of study room, it will be demanding.
Thanks for the input! :)
I've got all my prereqs (both A&P, micro, nutrition, etc) done so any of them would be icing on the cake. I considered med terminology only because I have no healthcare experience. However, after reading the input here and talking to friends in Micro, they said it wasn't that much more in depth than we already learned just from taking anatomy.
I think you should study medical terminology.I learned that on my own when i was a kid, just for fun(NERD)But in nursing school the instructors were speaking to you in medical terms.MAny persons failed out.I believe, because she was speaking in medical terms.Which i wizzed through the classes.Baby steps I think Medical terminology is the best first step!!

None of these classes are required for the nursing programs I am applying to but I have this summer that I can take 1 or possibly 2 of them. I definitely won't be able to take all 3.
So I was curious how you would rate these classes as far as being helpful in a program? Which would be most helpful, second, last...
TIA.
