How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi all,
I am in the first semester of a 4 semester ADN program at Our Lady of Lourdes SON in Camden, NJ. I took 3 semesters to get my pre-reqs done and am now finally in Nursing 1. I love this forum and spend a lot of time in here lurking. Hope to participate a lot more now that I am in the program and can decipher what everyone is talking about :). Look forward to getting to know you all.
I am 32, in a relationship, no kids, self-employed, and live in the city of brotherly love.
Hello everyone,
I am finished with my pre-req's for nursing school and finishing up some of the general classes to get them out of the way. I plan on applying for the Fall nursing class. I am very hopeful I will be accepted. I am a mother of two and a wife. I am 40 years old and have been going to college for two years now. I live in Michigan. I am having some anxiety about how to fit a job in this schedule. I am not working now, but I really need to work part time. How do any of you working nursing students do it?? I know most if not all nursing classes and clinicals are during the day at my school. I have my app in at all the local hospitals for nurse assistant and I do have a Nurse Tech position lined up for December, after my first clinicals are complete. That is a long way off though. Well nice joining this site and I will be checking in often.
Hi all!
I am in the first semester of my ADN program. It took me two years to take 'everything else' while I was on the waiting list, and I am down to nursing classes and micro, which I am taking over the summer. I am 34, married with two boys ages 12 and 2. Nursing is a second career for me. I used to be a property manager.
Nice to meet everyone.

Hello nursing students, I am in my last semester of nursing school @ a to yr. RN college program. It feels awesome to have made it this far! Yet it is also scary:uhoh21: ! I will be graduating in May and I can't wait. I plan to relocate in Florida by the end of the year.
