I'm 32 and have decided to go back to school (I have a degree in Corrections) and get my RN. I'm sooooo excited and I can't wait to start school this fall. I have a few classes to take before I can start the program...... so it's going to be a long process, but with 3 kids I guess that's ok for right now!
Nice to meet you all and I'm excited to get to know everyone!

That's awesome that you work at a clinic in family practice. I heard they usually don't hire new grads into family clinics right away, but usually you have to work in a hospital. It's awesome that you got a job right away. If you have any advice for me, let me know. I need all the help I can get.

May 23, '06Joined: Mar '06; Posts: 2Hi everyone -- my name is John. New student in NYC. Very grateful to have gotten into a school. Now that the dream is a little more real, I am trying to learn as much about the community as possible. I noticed that there is a new-ish wiki about nursing:
I don't know anything yet, so I don't have much to share. But this group (you all) must collectively have a great wealth of information to be shared. Take a look when you have time and consider contributing an article.
And again I say "hello." --John (aka samizdat)
