Hey all,

My name is Chandra, I'm 23, and I live and work in/around the Detroit area. I've been a CNA/PCA for four years now, and am currently changing my major to nursing. I'm taking the ADN route, with hopes to reach my masters as an NP. Feels great to be back in school!

Side note: I was offered a very exciting position today at Karmonos Cancer Institute! Very happy to be joining the team!!

My name is Crystal. I am a single mother of two boys. I am a CMA but I want to get into an LVN school. I am stuck on the essay. I need help!! I am suppose to write an essay about why I want to be an LVN. I just suck at writing these things. Anyone got any tips or samples that I could get a general idea of what it should look like, sound like and feel like?

I'm an old student.
I'm Rebecca, 25 years old, no kids, in semester 3 of an ADN program. This means I'll finish up this May.

You are joking of course, 25yr old? old? You must need a walker just to get in the front door or the school. What do you think the average age of a college student is?

Hi everyone!

My name is Stacee, I am 32 and I am in my 4th semester of nursing at Boise State University in Boise, ID. I will graduate with my ASN 12-06 (11 months), and should be having a date with NCLEX this time next year! We have an open door policy and are allowed to step out and licence after our 5th semester, and continue on for another 3 semesters for the BSN. I currently work on an oncology floor as a nurse apprentice.

Hi my name is Nancy...I am 46yrs old and have two boys 30 and 26. I just graduated with a BS in micro and have decided to take a different career path in nursing.

I am a little scared but I believe that this is the right choice.

I will take my prerequisites this spring for an ADN program.

Hello, my name is Alisa. I'm 26 years old, married with a 7 year old son. I'm starting an LVN program on Monday. I went to San Diego State for a few semesters and community college for a few semesters. Mostly, I've been a stay at home mom, but now that he's in school all day and I have afterschool care, It's time to finally get that education!!

Hi, I have been a nurse for 20 years and now want to return to school for my BSN. I eventually want to attend CRNA school. Well that is my goal. My husband and I have 5 children ages 26,24,22,21 and 16. Good luck to all.
