I am so bummed! I thought I did well. Everyone did poorly so at least I feel a little comfort in that, but gees what a way to start out the week. I did really well on my other quiz in the theory part of the class, got an A on that, but the quiz in clinical is another story. I have another quiz tomorrow so if you could wish me luck. I have done nothing but study lately and it really didn't help that much on that quiz.

Hang in there, Teresa. That happens to all of us. (Believe me)
I never thought possible that you could study TOO MUCH until I lived and breathed text books before a major CV exam. It backfired. So, now I take my instructors advice - to "be good to myself" and "have confidence in myself", so now I don't (always) feel the need to cram. I've learned to "pace" myself as best I can, and actually "take breaks" (something I never allowed myself to do). I study ALOT, yes... but I also as much as possible, break and let my weary lil mind rest. Don't know if this helps ... just a thought. Good luck on next quiz. You'll be fine. Angela

Keep studying. It will pay off. It takes a long time for all of it to sink in and you start figuring out how all these bits and pieces of knowledge "fit together" in medicine.

mama said there'll be days like this, there'll be days like this my mama said.
Get a good review book and practice sample questions prior to each exam, review your notes thoroughly BELIEVE ME IT WORKS JUST FINISHED IN MAY AND IT TOOK ME 2 ROTATIONS TO FIGURE THIS OUT, AFTER I FOUND THIS KEY I BECAME A STRAIGHT "A" STUDENT IT ALSO HELPS AT BOARD TIME, BECAUSE YOU WILL BE COMFORTABLE WITH NCLEX TYPE QUESTIONS. there are only so may ways you can ask about pancreatitis. GOOD LUK on you next exam hang in there.

Teresa. I am right there with you, studied multiple hours for our first test and when I saw the test, I drew a blank.I still don't know my grade. But, keep on plugging away. A 76 is not all that bad(even though I know you wanted better). The NCLEX review books that were mentioned are a great study tool, they will help you pick out the most correct answer even if all the answers are right. Good luck.
Good news I aced my theory quiz and I realized the quiz I got a 76% in is in lab which is a pass or fail class. When I think of it this way then I am walking away with an A in the class, lol. The glass is half full right???
