Hrsa 08-09 Nursing Scholarship

I thought I would start a thread for those who have applied, do that we can keep each other posted on what is going on with the process. Also here to promote tons of positivity for everyone.

Have you submitted your paper work to your school yet? Did you have them bill HRSA for the full semester or full 2008-2009 year? My finacial aid offercer seems to think that the scholarship doesn't cover the full cost. I told her it would cover my full cost for attending school. She is insisting that I get an exact amount from HRSA of how much the scholarship is worth. Are you having any problems from your school?

Also, shouldn't you go through the business office of your school, the paperwork is pretty clear about the procedures.

Ok, I am now freaking out too because my school just emailed me and said they have no electronic banking. Has anyone else had this response before? Yolanda is out of town until Thursday... Now we have another bridge to cross- getting the school paid.

has anyone received the letter in the mail with the information about how to log in to the online payment system? the last email i received said it should be arriving soon, but i have yet to receive it and i can't handle a delay in payment. this whole thing is sooooo stressful!!

I talked to them the other day and basically told me to be patient... The bulletin says we should receive payment by the end of October or "the first week November at the latest" We shall see!

Nope have not received another letter since the award nor an e-mail since the oops e-mail for awardees from the call center. I would like more information on payment as I sure would like that to go smoothly.

we should receive payment the end of october "if we have logged into the payment system and verified all of our information". that's why i'm concerned. the end of october is quickly approaching and i havent been able to the payment system to verify information for the payment to go out. i feel like i'm banging my head against a wall trying to get everything done with school work and with this scholarship. you would think that things would run a lot smoother since they do this every year, you would think they would have a good system down for it already. :banghead:

I haven't received anything about a payment system. how do you log in to verify your information? What url do you use or am i just totally confused?:confused::no:

has anyone spoken to Y. Joyner today and what does the letter about the payment info say because we are on fall break and I'm not able to get my mail because I went home.

I just got off the phone with Ms. Joyner. She said that she is currently going through the invoices right now. I didn't get the chance to ask her about the online payment system because she sounded really busy. She said that she would call me back to confirm that they did receive my school's invoice along with their payment information.

We're getting closer guys!! :wink2:

That is great news. I have tried to call, but I keep getting a voicemail. Maybe I will try to call her today again. I just want to know when will we receive the first stipend payment.

This is a very tedious task and I am starting to get really frustrated because I can never reach anyone and the call center is a waste of time. They never answer my questions. Im going crazy:bugeyes:
