hi everyone,

I just wanted to know how many of you going to start the nursing program in fall 02 and how far are you with the prerequisites?

I'm starting a BSN program in the fall. I have all my pre-reqs from my BSc, but I haven't looked at any of this stuff in six years, so I'm going to be spending the summer reviewing all the physiology, anatomy and statistics that I've forgotten. I hope it all comes back quickly!

I am also hoping to get into the nursing program this fall i am taking a math class this summer as a pre req. I also have to take the A.P.N.E. test on Friday May 31st so if there is anyone out there who has takin it and could give me some pointers on what I should study for I sure would Appreciate it Thank You and Good Luck to you all!!!

I am in! Praise God!

Hey I will be entering in the Fall!! I can't wait!! I have taken all my pre-reqs except a&p I & II, so my first 2 semesters will be a bit tricky but my hubby is completly supportive!

Hello,

I officially started some of my nursing classes this summer but the program is suppose to be for fall 2002. This class (Graduating 2004) is apart of a new pilot program that the university is experimenting with. We are taking a summer of clinical skills labs with cooresponding assessment classes. We are practicing every thing on dummies and then we will be entering the hospitals in the fall. The university hopes that this will give us more practice and make us better prepared once we enter the hospital.

Congrats to all of you who have been accepted into a program and I wish all other students luck as well.

We also have the option to take two classes this summer before the 1st clinical experience in August (Fall 2002).

I have until 5-29 to make up my mind if I am going to take them or not. They are Health Assessment and Basic Pharmacology.

My plans are to work all summer and decrease my working hours this Fall.

Much success to you!

I just found out that I've been accepted to the program starting Fall '02. I'm really excited. I'm taking 3 prereqs right now. Sociology, Lifespan Developmental Psych and Organic/Bio Chemistry w/lab....I will be soooooo proud of myself when this semester is over and I haven't gone looney!!!

Whenever I got unsure about my direction or thought I just couldn't do it, I too walked through the nursing section of the bookstore and looked at everything and reclaimed my passion for it.

I still have to take Microbiology and Lab this summer. I would have had everything done (including histories and art, etc...) by the end of this semester, but I went through a divorce and had to withdraw last semester. That freaked me out because if I couldn't get into my classes this semester I would have been bumped from the program!

I'm just not looking forward to having to take history and such during clinicals. I would have preferred to focus solely on the nursing. But, I can't really complain. I'm in!

Congratulations to you and to every one!

I am hoping to start back in the fall, but it all depends on $$ and where my husband and I are at with the mortgage.

Wish me luck, its been a few years. I'm going to have to do a LOT of prereqs with math and science to catch up, not sure if nursing is the way I am going to go... Going to try my best.

Hi. I HOPE to start in the fall, but if not then I will start in the Spring. I started pre-reqs in the Fall of 2000, but I still need Micro, Com and Psy. Good Luck to everyone!
