how many of you going to start the nursing program in fall 2002?

Good Luck to you and congratulations on being accepted. You'll do absolutely fine in school. Oh what an inspiration you are to me I will be starting my prereqs this fall!!!! So pray for me I've been out of school for ten yrs and really am nervous about the math and other courses, also.

I START JUNE 4 INTO THE LPN TRANSITION COURSE. IT IS A ONE YEAR PROGRAM AND I AM NERVOUS .

I applied this spring semester, but I am currently in pathophysiology(Summer 1). This is the the last course I have to complete before my application will be considered. I hope to be informed in July if I am accepted or not.

I had orientation today. I've completed the physical exam and vaccines, had my picture taken (gross!!!) for the ID badge, and (gulp) taken stock of book prices for first semester required books! I'm ready to go!!! School starts Aug. 19 for me.

I am starting an internship in the laboratory as a phlebotomist and will receive a phlebotomy tech certification in July so I can work on-call during nursing school. This will be good because I can flex my hours as-needed.

This summer I'm teaching 9th Grade literature and taking Sociology 1A (yech), and intro to clinical skills. Fall I'm taking Ethics of Biotechnology and Interpreting ECGs in addition to my nursing classes. It'll be interesting!! The first hurdle for me is a pass/fail math test given the 3rd week of school which we must get 90% on to pass. You get 3 chances and if you don't pass, you're out. Scarey! I think I'll start brushing up my dosage calculations NOW!!!
