We got our results from our first test back today, and I am EXTREMELY happy to report that I made a 100! Kind of put a damper on my ecstatic state when our instructor said that historically students do very well on the first test, but still...

JOY!!!

Anyone else have any good news to share? We also started medication administration today which was really fun. I'm so excited! :D Clinicals start this Friday, also. Starting to get into the real meat of it now.

Great job! I know that has to feel good. Keep up the great work. Your instructor is right though...the first exam is usually the easiest one. With my class.....14 students scored above 90 (I got an 88). We just had our second exam this past Monday & only 4 scored above 90 (I got a 91!) Many of them did not score higher than 78, so basically they failed the second exam.

So keep studying! Can't wait to hear how your clinicals go. My school has it set up so we learn all of our skills in lab first & don't send us out to a clinical setting intil mid-March. Then we will no longer have class on Tues & Wed. Just on Mondays.

Do you have a math for meds test where you have to score a 90 or higher? We had that today. I only missed one, so I passed....whew!

I've been in school for a month now & so far it hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be.....that first week was a rough one. We all felt overwhelmed, but the pace seems to be a good one. My entire class was so tired today....after the test, we had about 6 hours of lecture on nutrition, bed sores & tube feedings. We were ready to fall asleep by the end of the day. She wanted to show us a video towards the end of class, but I think she knew we would probably fall asleep. I'm soooooo looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow...lol.

What did you think of the exam? Was it easier than you thought it would be or was it somewhat challenging? I find that it's an adjustment to get use to the wording & the fact that there is more than one right answer. I'm not complaining though. I really like class so far!

Woo Hoo! :balloons: Congrats on your awesome grade! What a way to start! Have a great time in clinicals, I'm sure you'll do great there, too. Just remember, you can never stop learning! :D

Woohoo! Congratulations Aimee!

Congrats! Feels good, doesn't it? Keep that good feeling, cause hopefully it will keep you confident about future tests.

I am not doing to bad either. On one of my tests, I scored a 95%, and on the other a....75%, and then on the last one a 95%. The one that I scored a 75% was leadership and management, and I really thought that was easy and the 95% (psych) one was hard. I think I have either an 89% or 90% overall. My grade is destined to go down with the next test since I do horribly on this instructor's exams. But, that is ok, cause I got cushin'.

Congo rats! :)

I took my second test today made an 98. First one made a 92. We just finished our 3rd week of school and this weekend will be the first chance that I will a relaxed day.

The first 2 weeks were BRUTAL!!!!!!!!! Last week was better we just had a ton of stuff to do (Bib cards, Journal, teaching project, and vital signs check off) and then a test.
