does anyone have any coupon codes for allheart.com? i'm ordering my scope, bp cuff, and some other supplies and every little bit helps! thanks!! :nuke:

Not sure how Allheart issues their coupon codes, but if it is because someone purchased something from them, then it usually states that the coupon is not transferable. And that means that it is illegal for it to be given to you.

Do not know about this company, since I have never dealt with them, but please be careful is asking for something that is not legal to be done. Does not matter if it is done, the issue is whether or not that it is legal.

I was NOT asking for anything illegal to be done! There are coupon codes to be found all over the internet for various sites, and I was just asking if anyone knew of any.

I'm sorry you jumped to that conclusion about me, because I would never do such a thing. In fact the more I think about it the more offended I get. If you do not believe me, there is a site called flamingoworld.com. Check it out. There are tons more like it. Lots of sites offer coupons to be used online by ANYONE, and that's all I was looking for.

I knew exactly what you were referring to, as I always search for coupon codes for any site that I am going to shop from online. There is nothing illegal about it, or the sites would be shut down for giving out this information.

I looked to see if I could find any codes for you, but for as many times as I have shopped with AllHeart.com I have never found a coupon code.

If you find one, please let us know......once a coupon clipper, always a coupon clipper (even if it's a virtual coupon)!!

Thanks, Mia!! If I do luck out and find any, I'll be sure to pass them along to you. :)

No one jumped to any conclusion about you. Suzanne was addressing a possibility that many people are not aware of. As moderators of this website, we have a responsibility to help people avoid doing something they might not know is wrong/illegal. We also want to make certain that the site itself is not being used (knowingly or unknowingly) to circumvent the law. That is why we ask that articles have a link instead of letting them be printed in their entirety. We also are very strict about allowing verbatim questions from the NCLEX exam or study guides.

Besides that, Suzanne did not say for certain that using the coupon codes was wrong. She said that it would be wrong IF the coupon stated that the code was non-transferable.

There is no need to take offense. Our precautions have nothing to do with you personally.

i took offense to this particular part of her post:

and that means that it is illegal for it to be given to you.

and

but please be careful is asking for something that is not legal to be done. does not matter if it is done, the issue is whether or not that it is legal.

she did jump to the conclusion right off the bat that what i was asking for was bad/illegal, instead of finding out first. i posted a site that gives out coupon codes so she could see what i was talking about. i was made to look and feel like a bad person for asking for something that is 100% perfectly fine and legal. if she had acknowledged to me that she knew what i was asking was legal as well, i wouldn't have taken offense. but i get the impression from her abrupt post that she had no idea what i was asking for and just jumped at me. that's why i felt the way i did. i just wish she would've asked me to clarify if she wasn't sure what i was talking about. if i had jumped at someone that way and found out that i was wrong or misinformed, i would've apologized.

but if it is because someone purchased something from them, then it usually states that the coupon is not transferable. And that means that it is illegal for it to be given to you.

Please notice that the sentence you objected to was based on a hypothetical situation. If that situation does not exist, then the sentence does not apply, and there is no need to be offended.

After a careful re-reading, I do not see any conclusions jumped to on Suzanne's part. She was cautioning you not to use a non-transferable coupon code. If you had no intention of doing so, there should have been no problem.

She was also cautioning others who might supply a non-transferable code that they should not do it. Some people aren't aware that this shouldn't be done.

Suzanne didn't say she knew what you were asking was legal or illegal. Her message contained an "if," meaning that she had not decided anything.

I think you are confusing a generic cautionary message (directed to any members of the board who might use or supply such a code) with a personal accusation/attack.

allnurses often has persons requesting codes for nursing items, especially textbooks, nclex prep materials, clothing discounts along with website freebies. we educate members that sharing codes indicated for individual purchaser is illegal to keep our website out of legal litigation.

Believe it or not, you might want to email the company and just ASK if they have any current offers such as free shipping, or $10 off a certain size order. Might be worth it to give them your email addy so they can start to send you those coupons!

Once I ordered from them, I got on their mailing list and they frequently send me such coupons...but you do have to watch the dates, as once they expire, they will NOT honor them. They also give those same coupons out before you're a customer, too. I don't have one now, or I'd share.

kel2banrn: Calm down, I've learned that disagreement doesn't help here. While the vast majority of users are extremely supportive, sometimes there are others that we may end up being a little oversensitive to. They don't mean to offend (most times). I think they just take their positions very, very seriously. Sometimes the moderators may not understand where we are coming from, but I don't believe it to be their intention. They're just trying to maintain a safe environment for us all. Yes, sometimes it offends us- but I don't think it is what they are trying to do. I knew what you were asking for- as a matter of fact, a very kind person posted a coupon code for Allheart a few weeks ago (it was gone by the time I read it :o ). I think they just have to state certain things in order to maintain this forum.

You can check couponcabin.com and also RetailMeNot.com. Usually however, I just do a web search for XXXX coupon and see if something comes up.

I wouldn't take umbrage with the moderator's suggestion regarding your original post. They are here to protect us -- the users -- as well as this site. If you spend much time around these parts, you'll see they keep a good watchful eye on us all!!

Good luck!!
