I had to take the ACT. I got a 26 out of 36. Everyone said that was a good score. I only took it once. my school admits on a "points scale" and I got 36 points for that score + 50 points for my GPA (4.0) so I have pretty good points. Hopefully It'll be good enough to get me in!!
Sounds like you have an excellent chance!

Thanks! How does your school admit? From what I understand the points system isn't all that popular

ours admits based on the test scores. For one I have to take the Hesi, and the other the TEAS. Both schools its ranked according to your score on the test.

There's a school around my area that admits the same way, with the NET. A friend of mine is going there and she's super nervous about the test. I've never taken it so I don't know what to tell her!

From what I understand the NET is actually pretty easy. I bought the study guide and I have just studied it some every night for the past two months LOL.

Hopefully she can get a good score. She really wants to get in fall 2010 so she needs a high score. When do you find out if you got in?

Well I take one test in August and one in September, and I will know about the first one in September, and the second one in October. LOL so I have a lot to think about!

With my college, you had to finish all pre-req's, pass the NET(score given same day), and maintain a minimum GPA to be placed on a waitlist. It all comes down to the college.

I just happen to come across this thread and I thought I give you guys some advice. For those of you who work, becareful that you do not lock yourself into too many hours. Our school required that we did volunteer work in addition to classes. You will study most days very hard and the best idea is to get a job somewhere in a hospital so you can kind of combine your knowledge from class with what you do on the floor; it helps. Further, you may want to think about working nights on weekends and this way you might be able to study at the hospital. Some of our students were able to do so. They got their job early there and most nurses understand that this is not an easy task to go to school and work. We were adviced not to work. I am in the ARMY and they paid for my school and they did not ask me to work, though they could have; that is very telling when the ARMY does not even make your work, eventhough they pay your sallary and your school.

Further, for those who have to take an hesi entrance test. We did not take a hesi entrance test, but we took hesi and if the entrance test is anything like the hesi we know then you better prepare for it. There are some books you can find at Barnes and Nobles that help you study for those tests.

I wish all of you good luck! I just passed my Hesi Exit Exam and will take my nclex sometime in August or September.
