:imbar I got a 62 on part one. I am so upset. I can't seem to understand this stuff. I even got a B+ in Intro to chem but I cetainly don't have a clue as far as this stuff goes, protein synthesis, TCA cycles, RNA,DNA you name it. cell structure and function..etc.. pain in the posterior!:bluecry1: I am truly so sad. I have no idea where to begin for the exam on wed. Thanks for letting me blow some steam.

I promise that it gets better! Keep your chin up and stay positive! You are not the first and you will not be the last to do poorly on one exam! It happens! (it happened to me in anatomy!) It is a hard class and nothing can really prepare you for it! Keep studying and smiling, and remember we all love ya!

rhona1, those were the hardest chapters for me, what you just described.. yuck.. don't feel bad. Are you in a study group? sometimes it helps to have someone else explain it. :)

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

rhona, it will get better. i made a d in a&p i and ii and ended up with a b in i and an a in ii. hang in there.

dont feel bad... it really does get better. Did you get a cd with your book? that helped me and you can also goto the website... that helps too. It will get a little easier, we are on the skeletal system right now and it is much easier. Of course you still have to go through the layers of the skin. For me that was the worst.

Rhona, I completely understand. My first A&P test, I got a 66%. I have test two tomorrow and am scared that I will do just as bad. This test is the integumentary system, tissues and metabolism. I've been trying to study but can't seem to remember anything. Thank goodness I am doing good in the lab, so far carrying an A. I am hoping that will bring my total grade up in the end.

Hang in there, I certainly am trying to not get discouraged. I keep reading on this forum and it keeps me going day by day.

Don't feel bad, My prof posted the average of our class and it was really bad for the first exam. I managed a good score but I'm telling you it required extreme effort to retain all that stuff. People were crying and some people were really upset. It's just that it's too much material for 1 class. I have a second test tomorrow and still can't get it together... The next hopefully will be better for you. Just take it slow, close the book and relax... It will come...

Please see the links posted by Lisa1970 on the "Anatomy Atlas" thread, there are some great ones listed. These are a few of my favorites from that list, heck, I even sent them to my old A&P instructor & he is sharing them with his class.

I've been sooooo depressed! I thought I was gonna get an A on the lab practicum and got a high D!:o Thought I was gonna get an F on lecture aspect (same mat'l as you, lots of chem!) and did! I asked my teacher is there still a chance for me to get a B and she said YES! That's hard for me to believe. I wish her exams were just mult choice, but nooooooooooo:eek: there's matching, fill in, mult cho and essays! Eeeeeek I suck. She's a great communicator but man, i die in ther tests!:imbar I am going to go out and get that coloring book and try some of those sights. Next Wed, I have test on all bones, all skull bones and integumentary tissue! Lord help me! Heather
