I am just curious is there anybody taking yoga? my school is offering free classes, it fits right into my schedule but i wanted to know if anyone had any experience with it. does it really help relax your body, flexability, strenght and all that other stuff. if you know anythng about yoga please share your storie

I love Yoga. Some of the poses feel so great.

I jog (slowly) . . .. always thought I'd like to try yoga. I love being outside though. We live in the mountains and it is so beautiful. Views of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen . . ..

I also started working out at "Curves" . .. 30 minute workout with weight machines. Gotta keep these old bones strong . . we just had a 94 year old lady break BOTH femurs as she transferred from a BSC to her W/C. Her bones were like swiss cheese . . ..

"Wilma: Fred's devoted wife and the ultimate stay-at-home mom. Loving, practical and completely competent when it comes to dealing with kitchen appliances. An energetic woman with a good sense of humor, Wilma serves as a stabilizing influence over her exuberant husband. When Fred is heading for trouble, she is usually there to pull him out".

Stevie, where are those mountains?

(and I'd be interested in what Wilma's personality is like outside of the home and away from her idiot husband! lol)

Yoga is wonderful for the mind and body. I highly recomend it. Be sure the instructor is willing to work with your fitness level.

Mel D . . . . Those mountains are in far northern California.

Here's my other Wilma quote . . .

"Wilma Flintstone, devoted wife . . . Best Friend of Betty Rubble . . Mother of Pebbles . . willing to put up with Fred is no easy task and the fact that she did it for season after season only makes it more obvious that this is a cartoon".

Hi Gayle D, Just interested in how you manage your MS with work, etc.... I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia for a yr or so and now have the diagnosis of "probable MS". I have alot of the symptoms, but no lesions showed up on the MRI. I have awful muscles spasms in my lower back and my legs. Send me a PM if you wish, would just like to talk to someone else about MS, what meds do you take, etc... Thanks!!

I've taken yoga in the past and wish I could work it into my schedule. I highly recommend it--great for flexibility, stress reduction, and it helped firm up some of the losse jiggly parts. I also felt stronger and more energetic.

I use a pad designed to be used under a sleeping bag.

I wanna know more about the "curves" place..... they are building one down the street!

I'd lke to hear more about Curves, also since they just put one in my town. I met one person who loves it. Haven't heard from anyone else.

I also practice yoga. It calms me and strengthens me, inside and out.

If you are sincere and have the chance...do it....

Namaste....
