Where else can RN's work besides hospitals? I want to be an RN but it is difficult for me to do 12 hour shifts because I am a single mother. Please help me out! Thanks

I'm an LPN in an RN program (also a single parent). I have seen them many places I have worked, for either 8 or 10 hour shifts. There's nursing homes, rehab centers, specialty clinics, doctor's offices, schools, case management, chart reviewer, auditor, at home triage nurse, and home health visits to name a few.

You can go to some of the online job listings to see what's out there. There's a large variety of things. :D
