still waiting for my att in Ohio

Hello everyone. I graduate 4 weeks ago and I still waiting to get my att in Ohio. Honestly I'm sick of waiting every day and I need to take the NCLEX as soon as I can due to work and family commitments.

I'm in Ohio as well...Ohio's BON seems to take a long time doling out atts. I believe May grads from our school receive theirs typically around mid-July. I graduated in December 2014 and our class started getting theirs around the end of Feb 2015. Good luck to you!

They are very slow. I hope to get it sooner. I might loose my job because of them

Go onto the Ohio BON website and count the number of LPN, ASN, BSN nursing schools there are in the state. Multiply that by 50 (conservative number) to get the number of applications that the BON needs to process in the past 4 weeks. Your class is not the only applications that they need to process. I graduated in the month of August (in Indiana) and it took 3 1/2 weeks to process my application in the summer (very sow for nursing school graduations).

If you graduated let's say Mid May and waited to hear back sooner even if your applied earlier, you will still reasonably need to accept the delay that is from when your school send in you graduation info.

I also graduated from a school in Ohio. It took 12!!! weeks to get everything squared away!

I graduated in Ohio as well, I don't remember how long it took to get my ATT but I graduated in December 2014 and passed the NCLEX in March 2015. It might take a couple months... it's just the process. It sucks when a job is on the line but if you continue to speak with the manager or HR department they should be pretty understanding.

In Ohio. I graduated in December '15 and took the test in January. May grads do have to wait longer because there are more schools in Ohio that DON'T graduate classes in the winter than do. It sucks, but hopefully your employer will understand that it's out of your control. Have you been told that if you don't take the test by x-date you'll be fired? Will you then be eligible for rehire after passing boards? Good luck!!
