Starting per diem job on weekends

  1. WEll to keep my skills up I decided to take a job as a perdiem RN at a SNF 13 miles from here. Nice clean place without urine odor. The staff look happy. I will still work my full time job M-F with all holidays off. I only have to work 2 days in a qtr so that won't be hard. 12s will be a challenge I am sure. Wish me luck!

I understand about wanting to keep those skills fresh... use 'em or lose 'em, right? Can't have THAT happening !

As soon as one of our local hospitals starts hiring again, I'd like to do a little PRN on a medsurge floor myself, to use some skills not used at dialysis.

The best to you, Renerian !

Thanks everyone. I love my full time job during the week and they won't get rid of me unless they lay me off or close LOL. This extra job will help cover some home updates we would like to do.
