What songs out there reminds you of anything about nursing. It could either be about the care you give or about team work.

For me it is

A little help from my friends- Because you cant get by without it.

The Change by Garth Brooks- Because we cant save the world, even if we try.

The River by Garth Brooks - Because this job is my dream.

Your a Friend of Mine by Jackson Browne- because it's better when the ones who you work with are good dependable friends. You know "You can depend on me, over and over."

Donna Summer:

"She works HARD for the money... so HARD for ya honey!!!" :D

Stand in the end you will still be you.Stand for the things you know are right. you are one who did all the things you set out to do.There is a cross for you to bear.

Stand you have been sitting much too long. There is a midget standing tall and a giant about to fall.

Stand Stand STAAAAAAND!

Stand they will try to make you crawl.

Stand don't you know you are free. Well at least in your mind if you want to be. Everybody!

Stand Stand STAAAND!Na na na na nanana na na.

Speaking of Nelly's song "Hot in Here"....one night at work I was assessing my patient at the beginning of my shift and it was SO WARM in the unit. I work in a 16 bed SICU which the beds are separated by curtains. So, I started singing that song, the first two lines(It's gettin hot in here so take off all your clothes). My patient was sedated(on Diprivan--LOVE THAT STUFF!) and intubated so couldn't respond. The nurse next to me was like Kelly, who are you talking to? And I was all embarrased cause I didn't know anyone heard me. It was sooooo funny....you just had to be there:)

good thread...
