What songs out there reminds you of anything about nursing. It could either be about the care you give or about team work.
For me it is
A little help from my friends- Because you cant get by without it.
The Change by Garth Brooks- Because we cant save the world, even if we try.
The River by Garth Brooks - Because this job is my dream.
Your a Friend of Mine by Jackson Browne- because it's better when the ones who you work with are good dependable friends. You know "You can depend on me, over and over."
Ok, now I want to know some of yours . . .
16 tons and what do you get?
Another day older and further in debt....

(Twisted Sister)
"Army of me" Those people with a hangnail that complain about the wait time in your busy ER (Bjork)
"Down with the sickness" bad shifts
(Disturbed)
"Danger Zone" Coming on shift on those busy days
(Can't remember, from Top Gun)
And for some reason in the middle of a nasty CODE or spitting, kicking, rude patient I find myself humming "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Would you be mine, could you be mine, won't you be my nieghbor?":D
Mr. Rogers pasted away last night.
"You really gotta hold on me" (while doing pivot transfers)
"You gotta fever, fever in the morning, fever all through the night" (we've pneumonia sweeping through our building)
"born to be wiiiild.....head out in the hallway. looking for a cna...or who ever comes my way....." (requires no explanation)
"Bad to the bone...." ( decub theme song..)
For some unknown reason I tend to walk around singing "Rockin' Robin....go figure....that and "it's a quarter to three and there's no one in the place but you and me so set em up Joe I got nowhere to go......"
humming
Tres
"Thank the Nurse" by Joe Mc Donald. His parents were from Oklahoma. I think it comes from the heart. His wife and brother are nurses.
